I like to expose people like this. I did an article on Dick Cheney and Obama's speeches yesterday. As usual, I disagree with Obama, and agree with Cheney. This article elicited a comment that might be viewed as a threat, but I take joy in exposing people like this. Agree or disagree with me, but threaten me, and you get an article of your own.
Now, I may be overreacting but I still think such comments should be left for the readers to decide.

That was a harsh comment he, she or it left. I commend you for not deleting it so the rest of us can laugh at the goofinesss of some people on Gather.

I was drawn to this 'post' as one of my connections commented on it. So I played your game and read this and the linked article.
I make no secret that I am a conservative, and there is no love lost between myself and the so called 'jerk' you aimed this article at. That being said, I saw NO threat against you or anyone in there at all. I think it was you who started out being nasty to other commentors because they did not agree with you. Hmmm, the same thing that conservatives have been accused of by liberals forever. Since the election, I have sat back and watched as other conservatives have taken on the same bad behavior that they (myself included) complained about before the election. I, however, have decided not to sink to that level whereas I see that you and others have. If you believe as many do, that we are headed for a Socialistic government, then if you really think about it, what the 'jerk' said is true. Speak out against the government, and yes, there will be trials. Methinks you are just becoming a big point whore, and enjoy causing 'drama'. If that's your thing fine, but don't expect to be taken seriously either.
You may very well be right. I have sat back and watched very carefully too. It is not a pretty picture now on any level. Scary to think about what it will be like if attitudes continues as is. The current admin is not going to change for another 4 years at the least. Best thing to do is accept that fact and work with it to better the country as a whole, not who you like or dislike.

I agree with Cathi, I didn't see it as a threat, which this may be the one and only time I stick up for the 'idjit'......Harsh and cruel he can be, but he will always say what he thinks and think about what he says later, I guess I kinda do the same thing.
I may not like Obama, and yes I'd still like him out of office, I've resigned the whole matter to God......its probably why I don't say much about him.... I think the fate of this country and the choice that the majority made during the election is part of His perfect plan....now with that being said.......I think Cheyney needs to fade into the background, because all he's doing is keeping the focus on himself and not where this country is headed.......
And someone brings up an interesting point, he wasn't allowed at the RNC......that alone is a shocker.
I think his reasons for wanting those records is to try to Destroy Bush and anyone he can, not to make a point.
