I started the Wreath for all Seasons a couple months ago. It's a lot more difficult than I thought. I am leaving the most difficult season (winter) until last.
I have Autumn completely finished though...
When I first started...

Part way finished....

The finished section...

I'm currently working on summer, but I realize I didn't take a photo. Oops. I do have bits and pieces stitched on spring though (right above autumn).

It's a slow process, and quite dangerous to my fingers (LOL). I'm hoping to have it complete before Christmas.

Jan,
This is gorgeous! I was going to ask if it was cross-stitch, but then looked at your tags and saw that it was. That's not only time consuming, it "is" hard on the fingers. You're doing one beautiful job on it :) Can't wait to see more of it, and I'm off to go look at the photos up close.
Marilyn
Wow! You have WAY more patience than me :~)
This is pretty!
I can't just sit down and watch TV...I have to be doing something too.
That is beautiful and so much work!
Janet,
Me too, I can also read and watch TV, which confuses a lot of people, and I've been making organic catnip toys for the cats, which makes me a very popular Mom lately and makes them *very* happy :)
It is very time consuming work. I started a few projects but keep setting them aside. This is really coming out nicely.
That's pretty.
Looks like you put in a lot of time! Very nice!
you have quite the concentration
Looks like a lot of hard work went into the wreaths. They are lovely.
i cant wait to see it finish
its beautiful
very talented!
Coming along nicely
That is beautiful. I love homemade quilts. I would love to have time to do something like that. I bought some embroidering but haven't had time to sit and do any of it yet. I am inspired now...
it's wonderful!! I've not done stitch work in so long I'm not sure my fingers (or eyes) could take it! Can't wait to see what it looks like when it's finished!
You do lovely work! I haven't done this in years and years. But used to love too. I still have tons of thread...maybe one of these days I'll pick it up again.
I'd love to see the finished piece when you get done. :) It's going to be gorgeous. :)
That is beautiful!
It is coming together nicely. I use to love to cross stitch but after having my kids I never picked it back up.
You are doing a great job Jax, it sure looks like it takes a lot of work.
I tried cross stitch - never could make it come out right
that is going to be a gorgeous quilt
This is gorgeous work.
It is really coming along nicely. It looks great Janet!
This is really very pretty ,Jax.
I wish I could cross stitch. My eyes just won't let me. Great job Jan.
This is beautiful. I haven't made anything in a few years. To save my fingers I bought the Dr. Scholl's little square adhesive pads that you use to cover callouses on your feet. I cut little pieces to fit on my finger tips where you push the needle with. This helped save me from sore fingers.
wow it is comming along wonderfully - you are doing great
Very nice and very well done.
That is beautiful
Jax, I came by to wish you a Happy Belated Birthday. I could not get here yesterday for your birthday and truly regretted that. I do hope you had a happy one, and did something you thought was special.
And, your work is beautiful here. I am so impressed, especially since I can't even sew a straight line.
Thanks Lynn. We didn't really do anything special. I would say Mike took me out to dinner, but he made me pay....so, I guess I took the family to dinner.
Wow, this is a huge project . Very lovely so far . I have not done cross-stitch in years . Can't wait to see the finished product .
thanks for sharing
That is wonderful. I can't wait to see how it looks when it is done...
that is gorgeous!
beautiful. can't wait to see the rest.
this is so beautiful. I use to sit and crochet a lot, taught myself this hobby, but was never really interested enough to learn anything else. I always admired these kind of things though.
Beautiful work Jax! I used to cross-stitch many years ago but got to bothering the old eyes so badly I had to stop!!!
I wish I could do stuff like that!! It's looking great, and that is a wonderful talent to have. My mom, my sister, and I took a quilting class once. My mom's idea. We made someone a baby blanket for their first baby but I forget who. I wasn't very good as I recall. I know I'm certainly not good at sewing now. Buttons I sew on fall off. LOL
This is so gorgeous Jax! Having done needle point (many many moons ago) I can truly appreciate what you've done here. Way to go!
I have not done cross stich in years.I don't think I can do it now. This is beautiful and can not wait to see more of your work.
That is a lot of work and it's very beautiful!
You're doing a BEAUTIFUL job on it!!
