He's an idiot.  I'm so glad he is out of office.  Pat Quinn is doing a much better job so far.  Our local news also ran a story where he is endorsing a shampoo to volumize hair and get his "look."  Get real!  I almost wish the courts would have let Blago go on the show.  Can you imagine how the phone lines would have been jammed with what the people of Illinois would have voted for sending his way??? (Can you tell I live in Illinois???)

I live in Chicago Renee, and I like Pat Quinn immensely. I read something about that, the Blago shampoo. LOL  I am quite surprised that Patti is standing by him, as I was sure she'd divorce him after the impeachment trial. I don't understand either of them.

Despite the quibbles that he and Daley have had, Quinn seems to be competent. If I were Patti, I would dump him for a much younger man and live in the same apartment complex as Oprah!

Quinn is a very good governor. I think he does care about the citizens of Illinois, outside of himself. I am actually shocked Patti hasn't left him, as I was sure she was going to do so after the whole impeachment trial. Maybe I'm too much of a cynic though.

Beth, I'll have to ask about Chicago.  I read something yesterday that said that Chicago politicians and powers that be and criminal elements have the same attitude there as in Vegas - what happens there stays there.  Some think that's why corrupt politicians have no fear about what they've done...because people won't talk.

Yeah there is too much corruption here in Chicago. Very rare is the honest politician, and the politicians here are too closely tied to the gangs and mafia  here. It's amazing Obama was able to rise above this

I am so glad he's out of office finally. He made a joke of the whole thing.. I don't know who to blame though him or his father in law who is just as full of himself... I guess power makes you corrupt .. period.. I couldn't beleive they wanted him on reality show.. I mean enough is enough

I agree with you Praj. He showed he only cared about himself and not the taxpayers or residents of Illinois. This is why having relatives in politics is a terrible idea, it tends to corrupt.
