I am watching a show on the TLC channel on "Feral Children"
These are children that are raised in the wild. They had no human interaction and the consequences of it all.
It is such an interesting documentary and really shows how "nuture" is just as effective.. if not more.. and the development of a child.. as "nature" is..
It's really sad to see how these children develop..
If you get the TLC channel.. look for this show.. it's so interesting and heartbreaking at the same time..
If you have children.. it's going to make you want to hug them..

I watched a show on feral children a while back. You are right... interesting! It reminded me of a documentary a few years back that discussed the social problems of children that grew up in orphanages where "nurturing" wasn't a priority. Sad.
I saw something like this too. It is hard to believe anyone would do what they did to these children. There is a case in the US, where the mother locked the girl in a closet and she was too old for a diaper and should have been in school, yet she was wearing one and the closet was disguisting. It was obvious she was mistreated. She is thriving with her adoptive/foster parents and has learned some basic things. Now the mother wants her back saying she misses her. I think she is out of her mind, saying that after keeping her child in a closet for all those years.
