House Approves Credit Card Industry Bill With a 367-61 vote, the House ensures that President Obama will be able to sign the bill to regulate common credit card industry practices by Memorial Day, as he requested.
I hope there won't be any flaws in this bill, and the credit card compainies don't find a loophole of sorts, or find another way to screw the consumer. I have been hearing, that people who pay their bill in a timely fashion, will have to make up for the consumers who do not. This possibility disturbs me a great deal. I have only one credit card with any balance and have been trying to pay it down. I have faithfully paid every single bill in a timely manner, and have never missed a beat. I have come close at times at not having the funds, but I have always managed to pull it off somehow. This has afforded me very good credit, and I would hate to see, through no fault of my own, it get screwed up.
