Scientists discover deadly secret of Komodo's bite

SYDNEY (AFP) - The world's largest lizard, the Komodo dragon, has a snake-like venom in its bite which sends victims into shock and stops their blood from clotting, according to Australian research.

I watched a documentary on these, a man filming a nature show died from a bite. Nasty stuff, I knew the venom had a bacterial virus , but the new info is intriguing, thanks.

There was a bad monster movie about Komonos and that's where I learned about the virus in the bite. All the people bite in the movie died of course, lol.

I've seen these (behind glass) amazing creatures. I sure wouldn't want to meet them without the glass.

how interesting! I have watched shows in the past that stated humans could be killed by a bite due to the many different bacterias in the komodo's mouth!
