Atlantic Ocean -- Congratulations, French drivers! You are officially the worst drivers on land and at sea!
No, we didn't just pull off the Autobahn with this conclusion. The findings were a result of a survey conducted by American and European Geico customers. But wait, there is more proof...
A group of English sailors said they were pelted with wine and champagne bottles after their submarine collided Monday with a French submarine in a dramatic Atlantic Ocean clash, in which England has condemned as "unforgivable." The fighting lasted almost 9 minutes. It finally ended when the French surrendered, making it the second longest battle in French history.
It was the second altercation this week between the English sailors and their foes. No one was injured, but the skirmishes mark the resumption of potentially life-threatening run-ins in a contentious fight that has become an annual fixture in the remote, dark and dangerous waters at the bottom of the world.
"The situation down here is getting very chaotic and very aggressive," Colonel Paul Stevens, captain of the H.M.S. Vanguard submarine, told News 30 on Monday by satellite phone. "We saw the same French sailors in a bar in Ireland and they tried to pick a fight there, too."
Though the results can provide some fun bragging opportunities (and convince you to take public transportation next time you're in Paris), we should note that there is a serious purpose to the annual survey. Geico says "Overall, findings from the 2008 survey indicate that an alarming number of licensed French drivers continue to lack knowledge of basic rules of operating a vessel in the ocean." Among the most startling findings, "Ninety-four percent could not identify the correct action to take when approaching a foreign vessel, and 73 percent could not properly identify a typical safe following distance from the submarine in front of them."

Oh and why would you pull over on the autobahn? That's GERMANY, not France!
French are worse than Panamian drivers? Having barely survived some years there while driving I wonder how much worse than that one CAN get
Hmmm... I think every state can be labeled the worse drivers in the world. LOL
great post! i think the worst driver is any foreigner who comes over here without reading our driving rules handbook. in my area its the mexicans. i'm not being prejudice but they are the worst and they have caused more accidents than the driving-texters. especially on the lakes! they dont know that driving on the right side applies to the lake too and they cause boating accidents. they all pile in the boat and take off with no direction. then you got somebody who knows and drives by the rules coming around a cove and KABLAM they collide because of a ignorant driver.
Miami has it's share of bad drivers too!
