IMO, you don't survive cancer, you survive the treatment.... if you are one of the lucky one's.
They are making this poor child out to be deaf, dumb and blind because he has a learning disability. Give me a break!
Really? I wonder what Kara Neuman would have to say about that.
Trials for Parents Who Chose Faith Over Medicine
Published: January 20, 2009
WESTON, Wis. — Kara Neumann, 11, had grown so weak that she could not walk or speak. Her parents, who believe that God alone has the ability to heal the sick, prayed for her recovery but did not take her to a doctor.
After an aunt from California called the sheriff’s department here, frantically pleading that the sick child be rescued, an ambulance arrived at the Neumann’s rural home on the outskirts of Wausau and rushed Kara to the hospital. She was pronounced dead on arrival.
The county coroner ruled that she had died from diabetic ketoacidosis resulting from undiagnosed and untreated juvenile diabetes. The condition occurs when the body fails to produce insulin, which leads to severe dehydration and impairment of muscle, lung and heart function.

This is the kind of crap that makes Christians look bad. We are not all ignorant. Yes, I believe in the power of prayer. I also believe that God gave us brains and that he gave doctors knowledge. And that we should use both of those. I mean for heaven's sakes Luke, one of the 12 apostles was a doctor!
I agree that parents should have the right to decide what kind of treatment that your children have. But at the same time, they need to be at least a little responsible and I don't feel like these guys are.
"As a Minnesota resident I am so shocked and saddened to hear this. Daniel and his family should have every right to treat his illness in any manner they choose and the State of Minnesota, Brown County should stay the hell out if it."
Failing to provide appropriate medical care is a form of child abuse. Do you support a parent's right to "treat" a child's illness by locking the child in a closet for a week or two? Or their right to "treat" a child's illness by drilling holes in the child's skull to release demons or evil spirits?
