Bad, Bad, Bad Bunny!

Caught a little rascal about half this size in my flowerbed earlier today when I was out scrubbing several pieces of my parrot's cage.

My camera was in the house so I am using a shot I took of a baby bunny from last spring.

What once looked like this when bloomed.

Now looks like this.

My poor Gazania.  Glad they're inexpensive flowers.

I do believe a trip to Big Orange for a few small, cheap marigolds is in order.

Sigh.

Oh I would be a little ticked off. They may be cute but they can sure cause some damage to the flowerbeds. I have had something munching on my flowers lately too but I have not caught the culprit yet.

But, apparently, gazanias are also tasty. Can't blame a little bunny for giving into the lure of those delicious flowers.

Silly rabbit! At least the plant will come back.

I plant the non-tasty stuff in the front yard and the tasty stuff in the back because it is fenced in and my three beagles are in and out during the day keeping an eye on the yard.

Very bad bunny. That Gazania bloom was gorgeous. I haven't figured out a good way to keep them out of the garden. They ate my tulips.

I quit planting flowers in the ground because of the rabbits......I plant everything in pots and planters now and they don't seem to bother them.

Wow...that was a hungry rabbit! I can't believe that he ate the whole flower. There's barely any trace of it left. Well, thanks for not shooting the critter.

They are so cute, and so destructive... mine chewed off a blooming morning glory. I was so frustrated!
Plant some Nasturtium, of the Alaska variety, in your garden. Rabbits don't like it.

At least, that's what it says on the seed packs. I guess I'll have to let you know the true results in the fall.

Oh no, bad bunny is right. Hope the marigolds work in keeping the bunnies away. Some red pepper works well also.

I have dusty miller in there, but I guess not enough. So the meigolds will hopefully help. I'm getting some later today.
I have trouble getting mad at bunnies. Now, substitute an armadillo (which LOVE to dig in my shrubs) and I can stay good and mad. But it's a shame about your flowers... they were beautiful!

I'm sorry the bunnies got into your flower garden. I guess it was really hungry, poor thing. Out here, they get under the house and eat our wires. I pay extra money to the phone company so that they will come out when the wires are gone. LOL
If you spray deer urine, from the store, it will keep them off your flowers.

You are right M....that is a bad bunny (but cute bunny)!!

I've already had two gerbera daisies destroyed this season by some type of insect, --- I am really ill about that too!!!  :O(

Awww :-(  I am worried about this in my garden - as my neighbors down the street keep bunnies and then when they get tired of them, let them go :-(  So each year we have a bunch of full sized bunnies and baby bunnies running around my yard.  Datz almost caught a tiny little baby one earlier this month, hopping (sort of lol) around my shed.  Now I did try to capture it, because I knew with the stray cats who also live in my yard (I have crap-tastic neighbors who just let their pets loose when they are tired of them - yes they did admit they were thiers, but that they no longer wanted them *sigh*), I knew that baby would not make it at ALL.  However, I was unable to rescue it :-(  So sorry for your plants... they were super pretty.  I love those kinds of colors in flowers, it really says SUMMER!
