My sons prom was the night before Mother's day. In my opinion the school really screwed up making prom the night before Mother's day. I also feel there were probably alot of disappointed moms ther following morning. As proms tend to run late and they are all about the teens going to prom looking nice. Really looking to impress. As girls need to get the best dress, one that no ne else will have. The boys need to look spiffy to. Plus have money for prom pics, a flower or gift for their date. I did call the school and voice my opinion in reguards to the date the school choose for prom. However my son and his girfriend did have a great time at the prom. here are some before pictures :
My sons girlfriend mother also came over and was snapping pictures. So that is why alot of them you see the kids looking in another direction. I also cropped and resized a bunch of the pictres before uploading them to Gather. I should of known better on how Gather is good about blurring pictures if you resize them. Those are the pictures, I kept small. Not blaming gather, tis my fault for not thinking before resizing them for smaller email attachements.

Lovely couple
The dress the girlfriend wore, she was able to get at a deep discount at 100 bucks. But it was worth alot more than that. I think she did a great job picking that dress out. It not only looks great but I am impressed she got it for such a great price considering the orginal price tag.
Anyhow, I'm so glad your son and his date had a wonderful time at the Prom. My son was never interested in the proms so never attended....I think he really missed out on a huge event, but oh well, to each their own, I guess!

It does suck that they scheduled it right before Mother's Day. We always used to have sleep overs on prom night, so I wouldn't have even been home to wish my mom a happy Mother's Day. (If mine had had the same schedule)
My daughter tried on a dress like that a few years ago. She ending up going with a pink one.
