Who calls at 11 at night?

My boyfriend and I are selling our dresser on craigslist, and someone called just a minute ago about it. I told him we made arrangements for someone else to pick it up, but to call later tomorrow around noon to see if they picked it up or not. He was starting to get a bit pushy about it and wanted to pick it up right now! Um I think not!  Not only would be moving a heavy dresser be too noisy for the neighbors, but my boyfriend's asleep. Sheesh, I just don't understand the common sense of some people.

Yeah, it was a little weird to me. I think he was more excited at finding a good buy, but yeah...not going to let a stranger come and get it at 11 at night lol. Thanks for commenting Shannon, I appreciate it!

LOL Lee. I think so too. And yeah Tracy, I just can't imagine calling a complete stranger up this late at night, unless it was a wrong number. I even asked him if he had any idea what time it was! Thanks for commenting Lee and Tracy, I appreciate it!

That definitely is a bad sign, of calling so late at night.......I don't think I'd really want to deal with Craig's List, as I've heard way too many bad things about it (prior to all of this recent stuff!)........hope that things work out and that the original person will get over to pick up the furniture tomorrow.
That would also be scary, getting a phone call that late at night!

common sense is rare, even second and third shifters know that most people don't want others around at 11 at night.

That's pretty darn goofy! I'm glad we don't get any callers that late, probably because I'm on the dial-up internet! Maybe we need to get one of those numbers where you can send the messages online, and deal with them there, at least for some of them. Those are good for freebies I've heard. Hope the guy gets the message!

I wouldn't call someone that time of night unless I was positive they were up; and it was ok. weird someone would call that time of night for an ad though.

I can certainly understand finding a good deal and being excited about it, but yeah I'm hesitant to call even my closest friends and family after 9 unless I know they are ok with it. actaully, this just made me laugh as my dh and I were just talking about this...we been getting calls actually at 2/3 in the morning from some drunk girl looking for her husband and she swore he was with me...till I gave the phone to my husband. (she called back the next night again, this time I asked her do you know me? she said no...but she found the number in his pocket....I asked who he was...then started to laugh...I had to tell her that she is my cousin in law...boy did she feel dumb finally realizing who she was calling and saying was sleeping arund with her husband...she stopped by this morning with flowers for me (I been sick all weekend)....)

I agree. It's unthinking and rude. I will NOT telephone anyone after 9:00 p.m. local time. I consistently get telemarketers calling between 11 and midnight, but that's because, even though I live in Eastern time zone, my telephone number still has an Arizona area code.
I don't even answer the phone at that time of night......
but I can scan my calls........

LOL Nellie, whoops! I bet your cousin in law did feel a bit silly. What a hassle that someone calls you Walker because you kept your phone number. It's amazing how many telemarketers don't know what time zones people are in. I once had one call me, when I was in Ohio, and they didn't know Ohio was in the eastern time zone!

I am a night owl, but even I have the sense to realize other folks don't keep that kind of schedule. I am not sure I would even have answered the phone that late...and I'd be up.

Hi Deborah! Yeah it was pretty bizarre. I think it was just a case of being overeager and unaware that most people don't want to be bothered at that time of the night.

wow I try not to call people after 9 pm unless its my husbands cousin about a show we are watching lie criminal minds, law and order, or (CSI miami my favorite)
