PHOTOGRAPHY IS ART GROUP I AM BACK!

Hi All:

I started this group in July of 08 as a group for art photography. I got frustrated having to monitor the postings as there were many that just did not belong. Pictures of your holiday bar b que and the people that are wearing lampshades from too much beer does NOT belong on this groups page. That is insanity and while art certainly does have a creative insanity to it, snap shots of your dogs new litter of pups, the cute baby nephew, etc are snapshots and belong on a post anything site such as www.postingforpoints.gather.com  Photography is art is to show and explore together the art, creativity and passion of creative photography. If you paid to see me perform as the songwriting, creative artist I am musically, and I came on stage drunk and did poor cover versions with sloppy technique of old standards, you would demand you money back and boo me off stage! That is my point. I am returning while still working on my recording as someone contacted me and offered to take this group over. My intention was to return as photography is a passion of mine and I did go to The fashion Institute Of technology in NYC for this art form. If anyone does not understand that this is a group to exchange and post ideas about the art, post pictures that are creative and artistic, please drop out and join the postingforpoints.gather.com site and post your heart out. This group is for interacting with other people that use a camera for artistic and creative purpose, and want to share photographs, articles, and ideas. It is very selfish to ignore this groups purpose. It is also selfish to make the monitor sift thru, poems, articles about saving money and snapshots that don't belong. Please respect the group and my time too. I have noticed that someone has copied the concept and name by adding monthly challenge to it. This is the original group and if you remember the fun we had and the learning ideas, it's back too. Thanks for the flattery as copying is always a compliment.Thanks, and Now we're back to being monitored, and making this group what it should be.
