Time For A Picnic

The weather was finally nice and sunny today. This was quite a change from the thunder, lightning and massive rainfall we have been having in Missouri for the past few days now. I decided to take the kiddos for a picnic. We needed to get out of the house and out into the sunshine for a while. My husband works strange hours at work and he was needing to sleep. With our two little ones in the house, there is scant chance of any shut eye. I packed up a picnic lunch of peanut butter sandwhiches, cheetos, grapes, and juice boxes and off we went to the park.

                  

Here is Maddie doing her best rendition of Hannah Montana with snotty nose and all.

                  

                           Aidan is doing some silly smiles for the camera.

This was the picnic lunch I packed really quick for us to have something to munch on.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We all got our photos taken by a tree, just for fun. My daughter took the one of me.

                       

                         They gave Mom some pretty smiles by the picnic table.

                    

                         They stuck their tongues out for Mom at the picnic table.

That looks like it was so much fun. I need to take the girls out for a picnic sometime soon, we just bought a basket for a friend and picked out everything she will need to have a nice picnic with her new fiance and we got this awesome card and picture of them in the park the other day. Now the girls want to have one of our own.

It looks like so much fun. It's almost always too windy here for a picnic, when it's actually warm enough. We generally do at least a couple of picnics if we go home to Missouri during the spring or summer, though. It's funny how what I grew up thinking was windy, is now calm to me after moving here.

Sistah Monica - this was just pure happiness - I can tell that you enjoy life just as much as those kids - well, they will have happy memories of all these simple but fabulous times with mama...thanks for the photos and it's fun watching those two grow up - what characters and the pictures are worth a thousand words - you're looking good girl...hope you're keeping up with moving and drinking water!!!
