Shocking New York Times article about Boy Scouts being trained to disarm and kill American citizens stokes fears of Hitler Youth

"Ten minutes into arrant mayhem in this town near the Mexican border, and the gunman, a disgruntled Iraq war veteran, has already taken out two people, one slumped in his desk, the other covered in blood on the floor," begins a shocking New York Times article reporting on how the Boy Scouts are being trained to take on domestic terrorists, which apparently would include war veterans and American citizens if the Homeland Security definition of a terrorist is to be applied.
Homeland Security and the FBI are behind the effort to indoctrinate and train the Boy Scouts to become tomorrow's Gestapo. "Our end goal is to create more agents," April McKee, a senior Border Patrol agent, told the Times. "Before it was more about the basics," said Johnny Longoria, a Border Patrol agent. "But now our emphasis is on terrorism, illegal entry, drugs and human smuggling."
Is this the literal creation of Hitler-Jugend style youth brigades designed to act as the front line for eventual programs of mass internment and gun confiscation in the advent of a national emergency?
In Nazi Germany, the Hitler Youth succeeded the Boy Scout movement. Hitler Youth training was militarized in comparison to the Boy Scout network, which was largely based around education. Boys aged fourteen and upwards, as well as a separate branch aged 10-14, were trained at preparatory schools to become future Nazi leaders. At its height in 1940, and after it had become mandatory to join, the Hitler Youth boasted no less than 8 million members.
Apparently in a shift away from the traditional Boy Scouts activities of sports, camping, survival skills and team leadership, the government is now training children "to confront terrorism, illegal immigration and escalating border violence" under the banner of the Explorers program, with the aid of military-style exercises aimed at subduing insurgents.
In one scenario, boys are trained how to conduct drug raids and take out an "obstreperous lookout".
"Put him on his face and put a knee in his back," a Border Patrol agent explained. "I guarantee that he'll shut up."
In other situations, Boy Scouts are trained to disarm "suspected terrorists" and subdue them, including Iraq war veterans.
Scouts are trained to identify the enemy. In a competition in Arizona, one role-player wore traditional Arab dress. "If we're looking at 9/11 and what a Middle Eastern terrorist would be like," said A. J. Lowenthal, a sheriff's deputy in Imperial County, California, "then maybe your role-player would look like that. I don't know, would you call that politically incorrect?"
Politically correct or not, Homeland Security and the FBI realize Arabs are not the enemy - "rightwing extremists" are.
Last month, Infowars reported on a document produced by the Department of Homeland Security's National Infrastructure Coordinating Center identifying advocates of the Second Amendment, veterans, pro-life activists, and militia members as dangerous terrorists. A subsequent DHS document, entitled "Domestic Extremism Lexicon," pinpointed "antigovernment" types "rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority" as possible terrorists. "Islamic groups are specifically excluded from this document," writes Benjamin Sarlin for the Daily Beast.
The new Gestapo Boy Scouts program will train the new Hitler Youth - or Obama youth - for the challenges of a totalitarian globalist future. As the planned implosion of the economy unfolds and unemployment increases, the federal government is picking up the slack. "In the wake of the huge stimulus package to jumpstart the economy, plenty of new positions are being created by 2010. The agencies that will benefit include the Defense, Commerce, Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs departments," writes Judi Hasson for Fierce Government.
Gestapo Scouts will be required to combat "rightwing extremists" who will refuse to turn in their firearms after the next false flag terror attack or engineered pandemic. SWAT Scouts will be called to deal with those who refuse to participate in mandatory vaccinations. Police state Scouts will be the vanguard for Obama's million-man Civilian National Security Corps. "just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded" as the military.
It's up to the New York Times, as the premier "liberal" propaganda outfit, to sell the militarization of the Boy Scouts to the American people, using the standard bugaboos of Arab terrorists, drug cartel thugs, and marijuana cultivators as the example of why all of this is necessary.
In the real world, however, government is not primarily concerned with drug dealers - after all, the government and Wall Street run most of the drugs - they are worried about growing opposition to the destruction of the Constitution and the imposition of world government by a cabal of international bankers and their corporate fascist partners in crime.

Who else did this in the 1930's?
Not to worry, the program is an off shoot of the Boy scouts and it seems pretty O.K.
Go check it out for yourself.
Learning for Life
Exploring
I don't doubt that the Obama administration is capable of misusing volunteer programs, but I'm going to wait until they actually do it to speak out. Our Explorer Scouts have had police training for years and have never been "used" by the government. It's a good program for the kids.
But, the NYT is trying to provoke outrage among liberals by claiming that the Explorer program is being used for actual police work. That ain't gonna' happen!
I know Explorer is an off shoot of Boy Scouts. I was an Explorer Scout.
Randy,
To my knowledge the Explorer program never included simulated raids with toy weapons. NO the article does not claim that they are used for Actual police work. It stated that they are trained in the rougher areas of Drug, Immigration, and Anti Terrorist enforcement. Police Explorers do not train in simulated raids of drug houses of simulated bank robberies or simullated anything else.
And I'm sure nothing like this was happening while St. George was president. As if.
I hope you took the time to visit the links I posted.
The "learning for life" program is an offshoot of the Boy scouts and their exploring (not explorer) program is for kids exploring career possibilities in the following fields.
Arts & Humanities, Aviation, Business, Communications, Engineering Fire Service, Health, Law Enforcement, Law & Government, Science, Skilled Trades, Social Services.
All in all it is a very good program;
"According to a national study conducted by Louis Harris & Associates, the Exploring program contributes to the healthy development of today's young adults by providing them with the environment, resources, and relationships they need to learn and grow."
And I guess if young adults emulating adults is a problem then we will need to start a bit younger and eliminate kids playing cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians and gawd forbid doctor.
Don't get carried away there - Playing Doctor was fun fun fun.
I think there is a bit of difference between Exploring career choices and simulated raids on a Veterian, or combat situation.
JMO but I think this goes a step or two beyond "cops and robbers".
Me too Col.
'1984' arrived some time back...people just haven't been paying attention. The almighty State holds sway...we are being gobbled up...the individual is slowing disappearing from our' national landscape. The Age of Stepford is here.
"Your" children and "my" children are being shortchanged by society because "you" and "I" are too busy working 2 or 3 or 4 jobs to house, feed, and clothe them. The community at large used to take much more responsibility for the children who made their homes there; now it's pinheads like you who want "your" children to have everything they need (and most of what they want) at the expense of "my" children.
Huh?
Whey they start a youth corps it is getting more and more like a police state. Can you feature a bunch of kids coming to your house to collect your rifles and pistols when they begin to use them for that purpose. How about when kids raid you because you spoke out against the administration?
The things passed during the Bush years since 9/11 make it very possible for a sitting president to expand government controll over the populace.
Yeah the title is what is called an attention grabber. I wonder what Hitler Youth was like when it first got started? Was it even then what it became?
The Exploring program has ben coed since 1971 and in addition to Law Enforecemnt there are Explorer programs in a wide range of career interests such as Medicane, Law, Banking & finance, Fire & Rescue, Aviation, etc.
Ironic isn't it...the neocons worked tirelessly, for 8 years, to undermine the Constition and expand executive powers only to have it land in the lap of some extreme leftist called Barack.
Constitutionalist suffer either way.
Only a radical rightwing nutjob would consider a (slightly left of center) moderate like Obama an "extreme leftist".
You sure do say a whole lotta nothing.
If people think our Medical system is bad now just wait until the government gets involved.
I hate to think what vehicles will cost with the government all but running the factories and auto companies. Same with banking. Goodby local bankers who can and do work with people.
As to the Explorer or Exploring program. I don't think "Obama's Boys has anything good in mind for the nation either. Maybe that is because I don't trust that slick talking con artist. He obviously is a bought and paid for man.
//Goodby local bankers who can and do work with people.// They've long since been bought out by megabanks who can and do work with people who have LOADS of money, and no one else.
Not yet Jeannie, I am doing business with two local banks that have no affiliation with the megabanks.
It is one thing to give kids an idea of what a job entails and quite another to train them in tactics. These kids are not being given practical experience in what a job requires. They are being trained and trained well just as another "youth group" was trained years ago.
This is all a trickle down for over 100 years. It is not anything new, but something that should have been dealt with a long time ago.
Now we have Obama in the Oval Office, controled by at least four of the most corrupt politicians in Congress, and look where we are nose diving towards. Shades of Hitler, with the Four that controled him.
"we the people" were fooled by two political parties and the media into believing Obama and his doctrine of "Change" while the best qualified presidentual candidate was being ignored by them and given not press coverage or very little. Ron Paul was and is the only candidate with extensive knowledge in economics and is also honest. That is more than anyone can say about the others.
Ya THINK? ROTFLMAO
Bunch of loons.
It must be Sunday , the day your meds run out.
Hey my pharmacy is open 24/7 so I don't run out of meds and they kicked me out of the clan for being too radical.
Lunacy doesn't have to be organized, or drug induced, apparently.
LOL!!! As a former Boyscout I find this hillarious.
Hey, I would have thought you rightist loonies would love that kids were being taught how to use firearms. Especially against all the groups you love to hate: immigrants, drug-users, Muslims, and anyone whom you can smear as a "terrorist".
Or are you just miffed that the above list doesn't include Democrats?
Yeah Jeannie and don't forget those nasty Veterians that sacraficed it all to keep us free.
Crazy, people really let their fear run away with them sometimes
Of course this is all a bunch a of paranoid raving . . Mr. Obama doesn't even have a mustache, for goodness sakes ; )
Folks, the "it can't happen here" refuge, went out the window years ago, in the wake of 911. Mr. Obama has not backed off in the slightest from the very positions regarding stuff like the "war on terror", the "unified executive", and remaining two signitures away from National Marshall Law (the Pres. and his appointee), which caused many deriding the idea that our Constitutional republic is in jeapordy, to once warn of that very thing.
I see absolutely no reason to think anything has changed, but the "frontman". It appears to be a classic "good cop/bad cop" ploy, and many of the once "fierce" opponents of the undermining of that Constitution, now mock those who haven't fallen for it.
Hitler and WW2 came out of an unresolved WW1, a humiliated crabby Germany, and a killed League of Nations.
This is SUCH a different time.
Adolf was a slick talking carasmatic politician who promised to bring Germany out of the worst depression in their history by saying he would change all of that. Sound familiar?
No.
Adolf wasn't slick. He was just loud and talked hate, and hate always sells to a certain class of people. I would put Hitler in the league of right wing radio talkers like Michael Savage, in their tone of voice, and the partisan hate they work so hard to rile up.
This "new Nazi youth thing" isn't familiar enough to make me dismiss all that's vastly different about it, and the times. And I don't believe history repeats itself. It is influenced by the past, certainly, but it chugs forward in all new ways, too.
Not while he was running for office Peter. That came after he gained the power.
You put your finger on the problem "I don't believe history repeats itself." Who was it that said "If you don't learn from history you are bound to repeat it"? Only the watchful warn us of that mistake.
Humans make the same mistakes over and over - making the oldest Greek tragedies always seem so fresh. But human drama is not the same as history. I think history falls more under something like chaos theory. There's always so many new variables adding in to make new (and often totally unforseen) problems. It's the leaders who are ready to fight the old classic problems, but don't see the new problems coming, that get bowled over by current events.
Yes, knowing history is vital to wisdom. But know that it will march on along the straight arrow of time and always unfold new things yet to be dreamed of (good and bad).
Col. I'm worried about you. Truly.
Why thank you Sharon
Kids with guns? How can you disagree with that, Col? Don't you want everyone to be able to defend themselves?
Seriously, I'm with Sharon, Col. I think you need a good vacation, preferably out of this country. And don't try to sneak that Uzi through airport security now! :-)
I just got back from a good vacation Sheryl. Saw my Son receive his Masters in Computer Science.
It is not "kids with guns". It is what they are being taught that bothers me.
Congratulations to you and your son! What a wonderful accomplishment - you must be so proud of him.
I think I was more proud at that moment than was my Son.
