Scream with delight, that is, at the roller coaster capitol of the world in Ohio.
Hard to believe that Magnum is celebrating 20 years already. It's still a thrill. But Millenium Force will pop your eyes out with that amazing first drop of 315' at 85 °! But there's lots more than that for coaster fun here. Don't miss getting drenched on the water drop or the raging rapids tube ride.
Their grand opening for 2009 was today, May 16th.
Those traveling from Michigan, Illinois, Indiana or Ohio can get a ticket at the local MEIJER store. It's only $38.95 for the day pass, a $5 savings. Cedar Point is still CHEAP for what you get. A child under 48" tall, or a senior, is just $19.95.
Or, visit the park on a Tue, Wed, or Thur and the admission is $29.99. WOW. Buy your ticket on-line and zip right in. Suitable entertainment for ages 3-93.
Cedar Point sits right on a Lake Erie beach, with on-site hotel(s) ($$$) and has a campground. It also offers a separate water park. All my visits have seen a very clean, well maintained park. The longer the hours, the more times you can scream.
If you've never been, or haven't been lately, then you better get going. I hope to be ahead of you in that front car seat. A day trip for me is 24 hours: leave at 4am, arrive when they open, leave when they close, get home at 4am, have breakfast and go to work. Worth every minute.
See ya' at the Point.

Beth, I've never been to Kings Island. Don't they still have "BEAST", the longest wooden coaster ride? (almost 3 minutes?) Most are like 90 seconds.
