Endless thoughts

Are in my head.

I look at each day

With fear and dread.

Why can't I make them stop?

Around my head

They skip and hop.

At the end of my day

When I try to sleep.

Endless thoughts

In my mind creep.

Some day I'll learn to change.

Those thoughts

That can be quite strange.

But today is not that day.

Endless thoughts are in my way!

Great poem! Sometimes, with all the bad stuff going on in the world, it's so easy to get bad thoughts running through one's head.

Hey! If your thoughts stopped, what would you do??? You'd be thought dead and then what? Scary "thought" huh? Or is it? Would it be complete and utter solitude? Would it really be scary to be completely blank? I think they put people like that in white, padded rooms. Maybe you don't really want to stop all the thoughts. Thinking is good. Keep thinking and keep writing. This is good and you're making other people think too. See?

Very well expressed. I say self-hypnosis with the help of a psychologist...or mindfulness with a Buddhist Monk. I'm all about alternatives!

Ayups, nights are the worse of it.  Exactly what I mean always saying that I try not to think cause no good ever comes of it, lol!  I keep music playing fairly loud or the TV, that helps, quiet isn't good for me either!
