My Computer has a virus and has to be wiped out...

Warning: I downloaded "IMVU" which is an avatar site. I use Meez a lot and thought it would be fun for my daughter to have a different avatar. Well, it took over my entire computer, and that's that.

So I just downloaded a bunch of videos of my grandchildren, and family and they're all wiped out.

We had another virus a week ago, and my husband had wiped out my computer, but this one is worse. I can't say for sure it was IMVU but believe me it happened right after, and then, nothing would run.

I posted this to all my groups and please forgive me with the moderated ones, but I want to make sure the message goes out.

Damn, that sucks! My husband just informed me that the battery in my laptop has just been recalled! Seems it's always one thing or another with these computers.

What kind of antivirus do you have? I've tried mcaffe and norton, but never liked them. The one that's worked the best with me and I stick by is Avast, and they have a free one, (go to download.com to get more info), and it detects EVERYTHING, and is working around the clock. It updates itself frequently, and catches everything! Even if you go to a site that has something, it'll tell you and not let you go to the site. And when you download something and it contains a virus or something, an alarm will pop up and ask what you want to do with it. I love it so much :)

I just got my computer back from the shop because of viruses and crap to. I downloaded the newest AVG and when restarted..It loaded page. Than froze. I had to take my computer in to get it taken out..........thats where i been among other things. Not a good last weekekend or week.

Sorry to hear your computer got a virus. Mine got one in december that disabled all the anti-virus software and did some other nasties.

Virus from IMVU ?? I thought that was a cool site where we can have fun and it's popular too. But i left it coz it makes my computer slow....I still have an account and have some beautiful custumes and stuff. :D My small brother still use it .
