I woke up feeling like an old woman. It's cool though because my head is in a great place today. I feel like soft sweet flower filled spring breezes and floating from one whispy place to another today. A cotton candy kind of day. Please join me. Take a few minutes out of your day and just groove smooth with Mr. Taylor. I hope it brings back some good times, share them if you like.

Chana, James Taylor's Fire & Rain is one of my favorites.

Do you know his history with depression?

His eyes look as if he's seen centuries, very beautiful voice too!

Kelly, yes I know about his problems with depression. It does come out in his music, many of his songs are bittersweet. I love all of his earlier work including Fire and Rain, but I think its a tie between Sweet Baby James and Close Your Eyes for me.

Keith, he does do a wonderful cover of Carole King's (I am pretty sure she wrote it) You Got A Friend. Back at 'ya Keith!

Every time I see a reference to James Taylor, I always wonder about the old rumor that said that Carlie Simon had written "You're So Vain" about him... :^D

I saw him not too long ago on either The Daily Show or Colbert Report... He sang a song from his new album that was pretty good...

Jean, what I heard was that it was written for Warren Beatty, Mick Jagger or both of them. I doubt she will actually ever say definetly who it was written for, or if it was written based on any particular person at all.

I love this native Bostonian, who suffered greatly at the hands of his family who never understood who he was and had him put in McLean Hospital, the psychiatric hospital affiliated with Harvard and located in Belmont, Mass., next to Cambridge and then a place for WASP children whose parents did not understand who they really were. One good thing grew out of his stay there, Music Therapy.
