In Oklahoma that is......at least my last full day. I will be flying back to Iowa tomorrow afternoon. Today it is sunny and warm here. Wouldn't you know after days of rain and clouds, but tonight more rain is predicted.
We are attending a special Armed Forces Day luncheon at Fort Sill. It is a ticket only type of thing and there is a speaker. I'll have to tell you more about that later as I'm not sure of the topic. It will be my last visit to the base this trip.
This afternoon I will be gathering things together to pack for my trip home. There is an Armed Forces Day parade tomorrow morning and the plan is for me to have everything packed and loaded in the car so that we can gp tp the parade, have lunch, and go straight to the airport.
It has been a nice visit with everything from 19 hour days to complete resting days. I've seen a lot of scenery and taken lots of pictures. I've welcomed returning soldiers home from Iraq and bid farewell to soldiers being deployed there. I have met many interesting people and eaten some good food.
I think it is time for me to be back home with lots of good memories.
