One of the great things about Gather is that when viewing someones profile, you are often reminded of things you might have forgotten about. Such is what happened this morning when I saw the name of a TV show in a persons profile that took me back once again to 1982. In October of that year Phinneas Bogg and his sidekick Jeffrey Jones would take adventuring through time to a whole new level in the show Voyagers!. The show starred Jon-Erik Hexum as Phinneas Bogg who travels through time helping history along and making repairs to history when needed. After saving a 12 year old boy named Jeffrey (Meeno Peluce) he is stuck with the boy and together the two adventure along through time.
I honestly think this show was the inspiration behind the late 80s show Quantum Leap. Sadly Hexum would have a short career in acting when at the age of 26 in 1984, he was joking around and held a prop gun to his temple. He would be in the hospital a week before doctors would turn off life support.
Meeno Peluce, who is Soleil Moon Frye's (Punky Brewster) half brother, acted in various tv shows and a few movies from 1977 to 2001, now teaches history at Hollywood High ironically. Perhaps one of his biggest claims to fame was a role in 1979's The Amityville Horror.
For those interested in the series, it can be purchased from Amazon for $17.49 at this link
And for those truely die hard fans the above replica Omni can be purchased for $725.00 at this link

I've gone to the link and will buy the series. I am SO glad it's available. I'd been checking for a few years... I guess I had stopped too soon.
I loved that show and watched it every week. It was so sad the way he died...I remember that too.
