Hatred?? That is BS. The majority of the nation is absolutely in love with the man. I think he is a likeable guy, and may have good intentions, but I am no impressed at all with what he has done so far. I'd prefer someone else take his place, and it has absolutely nothing to do with his race.

I always found it funny (in a sick way) that the party of JC Watts, Clarence Thomas, Condoleeza Rice, and Colin Powell is labeled the racist party.

But I have seen a lot of hatred. Someone states her feelings in a beauty pageant and she is called every politically incorrect, (and just plain vulgar) word under the sun. Popular radio personalities are threatened with kidney failure. Any objections to anything; such as “why won’t you accept stimulus funds;” is met with the terse allegation of “race.” Pelosi has her own military jet service, but if an automobile CEO takes his own jet congress will give him a verbal abuse. They even demanded the names of everyone who received bonuses so they could release it to the angry mobs that they themselves helped to create. Democrats are by nature, the party of HATE.

Bush earned his hatred over time, and Cheney and Rumsfeld helped give cause. Obama just got started, he has no history yet, but the hateful campaigns against him have been blatantly spoon fed by right wing media, from the start.

Spoon fed so blatantly that all the right wingers cry about the same thing at the same time, in the same way, with the same words.

He has a history, PJS. Wright, Ayers, ACORN, Rezko, his votes on abortion, his liberalism, Frank Marshall Davis, etc. I'm from Illinois and he was my senator from Crook County.

Save the BS for someone with a weaker mind. There seem to have been plenty of those who voted for Obama. By your own words he had no history, yet he was voted in as our president! Sheesh!

But then you give his earlier history (your cherry picked ones that have been unfairly twisted by the right wing for weaker minds), and then you say he has no history - keep your story straight within two little paragraphs, please.

I think Pete Swanson has it the closest. Bush EARNED his hatred over time. The neocon hatred and bile began last November 5th. The liberal sect may have despised the previous administration, but I didn't see any homicidal ravings. All I hear today from the MSM and the Gather community is a totally blind rage with no grounding in reality. I think Aesop said it best; "The grapes were probably sour anyway."

Like you, I too have been called Racist', I don't know Obama as a person, he's made sure his past is locked away so NO ONE can get to know him.....however, I'm not fond of him as a politician.
There are several thing Bush Did that I didn't agree with, there have been just as many that Obama has done that I don't agree with.
People hate, however, I think if everyone would drop the Bush Bashing, maybe this country could focus on the issues.......

Obama, has lots of unanswered questions surrounding him... and alot of unsavory acquaintances, but I forgot.... its alright for him because he can do no wrong...

I think that the further to the left a person goes....the more full of hate that person is. this can also happen if someone goes to far to the right also. I have seen more hate condoned by the left. If I want to get on here and talk about how horrible Bush was and how he should be punished and called bad names then I would be commended by many. If I say that Obama is not doing a great job then I am racist and a hater. (and that is without calling him names or wishing him ill health).

I agree, Mooch. Something this significant just has to be part of God's plan.

First Bush generates cause for the rest of the world to strongly dislike (hate?) us and then Obama comes along to tear down whatever vestiges of morality we might have remaining. What a combination! If we are not now doomed, we are fortunate.

What the "race card" has to do with this, I don't know, unless some people are playing upon the stereotype that African-Americans are indecent, immoral sub-humans.

Edward, is it your opinion that God wanted Bush or do you have some evidence? You seem to state it as fact as does Mooch. Obama won; thus, God must have wanted him. Do you think God votes?

God allows babies to be picked up and smashed by tornadoes. Well, he does, assuming of course that he is there in the first place. It's not like he is constantly and egregiously making miracles every time humans have a bad day. There aint much point speculating on which side of the political fence he dwells, assuming of course that he does exist, an assumption which I am not willing to make.

On the hating thing, look, there is a spectrum at work in both political parties and among independents as well. I never hated George W. Bush, it was more of a strong dislike; you could not take the guy seriously enough to hate him. He left office with a mighty low approval rating, so do not blame Dems for wondering how competent he was; plenty of
Republicans eventually wondered about the same thing. And you forget that there were not many Dems who stood up and dissed him in October 2001- it took a lot of bad choices on his part to turn it sour, even after a very close election in 2000 for which he did not get the majority of popular votes.

As for hating Obama, I certainly cannot stop anyone from doing that. If you want to hate the man, fine. Vote against him every chance you get, and maybe the Republican Party could possibly come up with someone better in 2012. I haven't seen that person yet, but odd things happen. Just do not pick up a gun and shoot him, and do not make up lies about him. But hate does tend to echo. We have been echoing hate from both sides of the canyon for some time now. For the echo to die down, you just have to yell a little softer, and wait a couple seconds to think it over before you yell. That's how it works.

Good point, Chris, specifically about how he did not win the popular vote back in 2000. It truly is amazing how conveniently forgotten that is, like plenty... uhhh, no, more than plenty... of other things.
