They first appeared on Monday May 11 when three males landed on my feeder. So far I've only gotten males visiting . Well, as far as I know. I was away for a few days. They show up and eat their fill of black sunflower seeds only to leave in a few weeks. They nest in the canyons and mountains surrounding Ellensburg.
Here it looks as if the are watching each other eat through the plastic.
In this shot the poor much smaller House Finch was startled by the larger bird.
