Greetings, Gather writers. It's Thursday....and that means it's time to submit some writing to the Writing Essential.
Remember the essays of old, upon returning from summer vacation?
"What I Did On My Summer Vacation" by Bobby Smith
Well, we're all grown up now, and summer "vacation" often implies working in warmer conditions.
I'd like Gather writers to think about what they'd like to do this coming summer. You may not take an actual vacation, but there must be something enjoyable you'd like to accomplish before the summer is over. Maybe you'll get away for the weekend or read a new novel. You might enjoy a Sunday at the beach or entertain family and friends from across the country. You could even be dreading something you'll do this summer like entertain Aunt Harriet and Uncle Stuart...who only eat green things grown at home....who knows???
Write an essay, write a story, write a poem....the form is irrelevant. Be sure to post to Gather Writing Essential, and use Thursday Writing Essential in your tags.

I had a lot of great summer vacations, but recent ones have not been that exciting. If I have time, I will write something.
