OMG! I Can't Believe What I Saw On Gather!

My Gather Family, I came across a picture that was so shocking I couldn't believe it was allowed on Gather. I reported this smut. A man, that joined today, took a picture of his private part and posted it. What kind of sick people are being allowed to get on gather. To me, those kind of people need help. I wish Gather could have someone over see pictures that are downloaded on here. If my daughter saw this, OMG, I would be so upset. Not blaming Gather, just makes me sick that people out there who join a family oriented place, just to do something like this to get attention. People like these are the ones that make a place look bad. I do hope they delete that person, and hope he never comes back. I wanted to warn you before your children or you see this. Be Careful!

Thanks Rebecca, that is not cool. I think we can set our settings so if we don't want to see things of this nature it will block it but of course the person posting needs to mark it appropriately at the same time for this to work. Good night.

Porn isn't allowed. The problem is, Gather doesn't approve or deny photos as they are uploaded, only as they are reported. Even more disturbing to me, is that even after something is flagged with an adult flag, it doesn't disappear immediatly. It should.

probably not a really new person probably an alter who's sitting back and watching the reaction, we have a lot of perverts on here some have been removed but others remain. That is why I get upset when people post kid photos you never know what sorta sicko is looking at them hopefully no one can see it now

sad thing is I dont think they would consider that porn, just nudity. because if it was considered porn then there would be a lot of photos removed from the site. Ive seen more female body parts on here than I care to ever see. but as long as they are flagged they are allowed :(

Angela- it's no worse than the perverts who walk around the streets with cell phone cameras or cell videos. They get far worse then, than they get from seeing our kids here. At least here, they aren't living just down the street. Any one of these "perverts" can walk outside, down the street, and see 15 kids within walking distance. They can go to the grocery store, the park, walk past a school, or even sit at the laundry mat and snatch little kids panties.

Sorry, but in my mind, there isn't anything for me to feel uncomfortable about posting my children's pictures on Gather when these pervs will do far worse in person than they'll do on the net.

Your right Heather. There are people doing that out there, and its sick. Perverts are everywhere. I wrote an article about that, my daughter thought she was talking to a friends friend who is 15. Turned out he's 19 and is the biggest pervert ever. He has done this before. How I know, I reported him to the state attorneys office and they prosicuted him. YEAH! He sent pics of his frontal to my daughter also saying, do you want to have sex, what are you wearing, do you swallow. I would love to have all perverts on an island and just have a F-16 fly over and blow them up. LOL Thats just my opinion. LOL

Its terrible when someone posts something knowing that Gather family has children and they do see whats on here. A pervert shouldn't be on here or online. He should be reported and watched. You never know if this man tries to contact a child. Thanks for letting me know.

Gather does allow under age kids on here. I'm not sure what age they have to be, but I know there are high school students who are members.  Nudity should NOT be allowed. Period. Just my opinion.

I think it is too big of a site for Gather to be constantly monitored, however this should be reported for Gather to remove and bar the person for doing this nonsense.

I came across one like that a while ago when I was just browsing through the photo pages.  It was properly tagged, but that's not the point.  I don't view the photo pages much anymore because of that.  I don't want to set my viewing to that of a minor, but I don't want to view unnecessary nudity either.

I am viewing this much later than you posted it.  I am glad I did not see this.  I am like you, I don' enjoy such as this.  They do a lot of that on MySpace.  I had one male email me through the MySpace with his picture only the waist down in his underwear and he sent a nasty message along with it.  That kind of thing is what gets young people involved in evil as well.  At least, I have not seen that here to date, so I am thankful for that much.

That's horrible! I can't believe that someone would post a picture like that. What you do in your personal time is your own business, but don't spread it around a social gathering site where anyone can see it, including children!

So very true Sammie. Don't spread your disgust around to other people. No one else wants to see their private parts. Alot of Gather memebers have children who are next to their parent when they are on Gather. My daughter is on here reading stories or looks at photos too. It is pitiful Ester. When something like that is posted on Gather, which is a clean site. Some people have no respect for other people or for the place they post on. Exspecially when teenagers are on Gather to, like my daughter. She sometimes gets on here to read stories. She loves to write stories or journalism stuff. Thanks for the comment.

It definitely doesn't belong on Gather. I recently saw the "Bruno" movie so I suggest all of you stay away from that one. Many shocking things there. A lot of close-up frontal male nudity. Just thought I'd give you the heads-up if you were thinking of seeing that movie.

Thanks David for the heads-up on the movie. After I saw that commercial about "Bruno" I was shocked and disgusted. I can't believe they put stuff like that on the movie screen. Shoot I can't believe they put stuff on T.V. I mean kids do watch T.V. when parents are not around. Some parents put T.V's in kids rooms and don't monitor them. I also saw alot of nudity of female bodies on Gather too. And it disgusts me to see those on a clean site. I'm a mother, and seeing things on a site that teenagers can get on here and write or post photos is a bother to me. Thanks again David, for the heads-up and the comment.

I heard that many people got up and walked out because of all the nudity, etc. The movie had been hyped up a lot before its release, but I believe it will be out of theaters very shortly, a lot because word of mouth will hurt it.
