We have been so wrapped up in trying to get pregnant that we just need to get away and decompress. Our wedding anniversary is this Thursday, the 14th. I am going to give him this trip as my gift. SO...the cure...Friday the 22nd after work we are heading out of town! Since I have Monday the 25th off of work, I have booked a trip for me and my husband. He doesn't know yet. He is actually on an airplane right now heading home from a business trip. I booked 3 nights at the 4 star Omni Hotel in Corpus Christi. I haven't been to Corpus but we have friends who say it is nice. It is a 4 hour drive from where we live. (according to Google maps, anyway) I also saw that the USS Lexington is located there, as well as the Texas State Aquarium and Mustang Island. I am going to put my husband in charge of finding a sitter so we can relax, kid free! Yay!
Have any of you been to Corpus Christi? Know of any places I have to go to? Good places to eat?
