First they parade these girls hardly out of prep school in their bikinis for all to ogle and fantasize about. Some of them probably even moo. Next they interview them to make sure that not one of them has a brain. Not the smartest, not the most talented, but the hottest babe wins the crown. Then they dig for dirt in every nook and cranny of their previous lives, publicizing whatever they come up with. Then they drag the poor girl thru kangaroo court because she might not measure up to everyone's image of mother and apple pie...

If she loses her crown it will help her future career. It'll make her "edgy" - and give her sympathy. Otherwise she'll disappear in no time. She should hope she'll lose it.

the nudity or the semi-nudity is not the main issue. We are all naked under our clothes, little known fact. Pageant babes are supposedly poised and brilliant and talented as well as, well, fantasy material, let's face it. But in the real world, they never seem to be that poised or brilliant. Pageants never seem to present what is good about young american women, because the young american women whom we should most be proud of, for example, a couple daughters of mine, would rather be shot than parade themselves around in such a silly fashion.

The bottom line is that pageants are outdated.

She competed in Miss USA, not Miss America. Put your own thoughts together before you post. And I dare say that if she wasn't capable of putting a thought together, she would have mumbled something like, "Gay people are really nice, we should be nice to them. World peace!" and we would never have heard any more about her.

I don't know why she didn't lose her crown. She signed a contract or contracts stating that she had never appeared in any fashion that would embarrass the pageant and showing off her tits is not what a Miss America or Miss USA should be. Leave that to the Miss Hooters pageant contestants. Just my humble little ol' opinion.

Carrie is a very intelligent girl. She answered the question in a very honest way, the same way the President did. Perez Hilton is a slimeball. He cost her the title. If I was a teacher, I would be proud to have Carrie sitting in the front row (clothes optional). And if she was bad, I would have her stay in detention with me and if she was real bad, I would have to spank her, all in the good name of higher education.

Exactly what is scandalous about those photos? Some reporter dug up that advertising photo shoot and claimed they were scandalous. That does not make it truth. I see nothing scandalous in any of them.

She should lose the crown. Not because of these photos or her stances and answer on same sex marriage, but because she lied about her taking nude or semi nude photos on the contract she signed with Miss America program.

Since the producers paid for her plastic breasts I knew that she wouldn't loose her crown.

I found it funny that she tried to make herself out as a defender of the Constitution. That was hilarious. Her plight had nothing to do with the Constitution and more with the fact of her being just another example of the simple minded empty headed new generation of American society.

These pictures in my opinion are not racy or inappropriate. i do not think she should lose her crown. What is suspect and inappropriate is an organization that allows Shana Maokler, and Perez Hilton to be associated with it in any way! Why was Perez allowed to be a part of this in the first place? He is in no way representative of someone who should be a part of the Miss USA pageant. Did anyone look at his website before they invited him to sit on the panel? He brings NOTHING usefull at all to anything. I also think if you ask someone a question you run the risk of not likeing the answer. Just as he wants to have the freedom to get married as a gay person. A straight person should also have the right to disagree. Why is it considered wrong for her to have her opinions and belief's and live according to them as long as it is not causing anyone else harm? Is that not what the gay and lesbian community want for themselves? The right to live according to their beliefs and values? Just like with the issue of gay rights there are some who will agree and some who won't same as there are some who agree with Carrie and some who don't. Why does the gay community seek to condem people who do not support their way of life? She has a right to beileve what she believe just as the gay community does and both to live their life accordingly. Just as they have a right to protest proposistion 8 she has the right to oppose it. She should be Miss USA because what she did on that stage was in itself the essence of being an American. standing up for what you believe in and having the right to do it.

The point is she lied about posing for nude photos. She signed a contract to that and she should have lost on the merit alone.
