My Mother's Day started out with my oldest son delivering some Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes to me in bed, accompanied by a card he stamped for me at school. The card was so beautiful and the pancakes were delicious!
I finally rolled out of bed at 9:45 because of course I slept in a bit more. When I came downstairs, I immediately began getting the house ready for the cookout we were having today. My sister and her kids, my mom, and my mother in law were scheduled to arrive around 12:30 for the cookout.
I cleaned the house a little bit, made some pasta salad, and hopped in the shower. Everyone arrived and I put out some appetizers. We all sat on the deck absorbing the sunlight and enjoying each other's company. My hubby grilled some chicken, turkey hot dogs, beef hot dogs, and hamburgers. I set out the pasta salad, cole slaw, potato salad, and pickles. The food was so yummy! But what I loved even more was spending time with my mom and my sister. We love to chat and we get laughing so hard...it's wonderful!
I am now sitting on the couch, eating ice cream, watching television, and doing some Gathering. I hope everyone else had a wonderful day as well.
