Jennifer, I am deeply touched by your tribute here and by Beethoven. He is by far my favorite Classical composer, and the 5th, 6, 7th and 9th symphonies, as well as Moonlight, Pathetique, Apassionata and Fur Elise are my favorite pieces by him. My father had a bust of Beethoven in the living room and he played one of Beethoven's Two Easy Sonatas, which I also play, self-taught by moi at age 12, after I dropped formal piano lessons.
I was schooled almost entirely in the classics in music and other areas until my 20s.
