Yes... another essay of photos from the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ!
The place is 35 acres, hence the fact that I have so many photos from it. I took over 100, and I was only there for a few hours! There really is a lot to see. But don't worry, we're nearing the end of the photos! ;)
I love bamboo, as my mom has some in her yard, so I grew up playing in it. I was happy to see some at the Grounds.

Near the bamboo, in the "Forest of the Subconcious", I found the creepiest of the bits of art.

Last I checked, none of those things were in MY subconcious!
Nearby was some interesting metalwork.

And also a huge wooden exhibit that reminded me of Stonehenge. We sat under it for some time.

The different areas of the Grounds are each unique.

One display, near the restaurant called Rats (yum?) included fake poppies covering a hill.

I wanted to climb on this next one, but the Groundspeople wouldn't have liked that...

I really loved all the little waterways running through the place.

At one point, we found a path near some interesting stone wall...

The path led to three boxes. It was reminiscent of the Three Little Pigs story. One box was made of paper...

(Yes, it's leaning!)
One was made of... grass?

And the last was... glass.

Nearby, there were some ducks. Unlike previous ducks we'd seen, these were real! But since Sassy Cat probably doesn't believe me, I have proof-- note the movement of the head ;)

"What are YOU staring at?"
Keep an eye out for my last essay; it'll be a bit different!

My favorite so far was the wooden stonehenge - that would make a cool arbor in my garden.:)
Very cool place!
