It is now 6am 5/9/09, I just returned home from seeing my oldest daughter off to Washington D.C. for a trip. She is 14 years old and D.C. is about 12 hours away. I am so happy for her and missing her so much already.
I was never able as a kid to do these types of things, so I hope that she has a blast. She deserves this trip so much because she is an outstanding person, has never gotten in trouble in school and makes good grades.
She will be back in 4 days, so she should have plenty of time to see alot. Thanks to all for listening. Roger

she will be fine.....
she will see and learn SO MUCH in this short time...
I sent my 16 year old off to the inauguration... about 20 hours away...
(we don't care for Obama but I figured she had the chance to go, it was the chance of a lifetime and she wants to be a journalist so it was a good opportunity for her.)
It was hard but the experience was amazing for her...
they learn things we don't realize... things that will help them prepare for their future.
this will be something she will remember forever and you're a great dad for letting her go.
What you gonna do Roger, when she gets older and moves out? Lol
I am just joking with ya. I know who hard it is to see a child grow up, mine is going to her first prom next Sat!
