Do you think that Internet would replace...

I have observed that when most students do research on their lessons or assignments they would just access the internet to do their research rather than do it in the library. I actually understand too and i think browsing the internet for answers is really much easier as compared to browsing it through thousands of books in the library.
Well, it just came to my mind that what if someday all information could already be found in the internet and almost all students would rather use the internet rather than go to the library to do their research. I think it is really very possible that in the near future no one would be using the libraries anymore because of the convenience of internet.
What do you thing about this?
Do you think this would be possible someday?
Do you also prefer to do your research in the internet rather than on libraries?

well, they'll still have the libraries for book lovers, history, and for when the power goes out or something goes wrong with the computer or electricity or some reason someone would need a book.

And they still have computers in libraries also. Sometimes both helps.

I hope books never become obsolete. I like to hold things in my hands to read them. Many times I will print out something if it is a few pages. My husband reads books all the time he downloads to his palm pilot.

I like a hard cover book over a paperback. The print is bigger and it is less likely to get damaged.

I do like being able to type in a topic and find all kinds of information though on the internet.

I think there will always be libraries, if only for specialty research books or extremely expensive books.

I think so. We will all be sitting in front of a box, with barely a need to leave our homes.
I like holding books but it easier for me to use my home computer than to sit and read.

I hope booksa are always around. I have a everyday habit of reading some of a book. I have to admit when i was taking Home School I did look up on my computer at times for help.

I don't think libraries will become obsolete. You will still have many people who have no idea how to find information and will need libraries/librarians to show them how to do it.
