I was going to have the whole family over on Sunday, but my dear aunt is in the hospital. She's like a second mom to me. I'm going to try and visit her, and have a smaller gathering here on Sunday. Happy Mother's Day to all.

it's a bummer for me too. we do not have any kids. my dad managed to ruin my mom's good mood today about getting her flowers. I just want to hibernate until the weekend is over.

we are suppose to be going to Iowa for a cousin's graduation. It's bout 5hrs drive from us.

this is my first mother's day without my mom.how do u get thru it? she was the one that always sent me a card from my kids(cats).i just can't fathum taking her present to a cemetery. sorry. i'm just so down about this

Tammie...it's hard and for the first 10 years...I hid in the house every Mother's Day weekend. Now...I have learned to get past it. The emptiness never really goes away, but the tears eventually do. I understand how you feel. I truly do.

Just going to be relaxing and taking it easy. Had procedure yesterday to remove skin cancer and all bandaged up. Have to be careful not to pop those stitches. I can understand how you are feeling about this day i am sure that it is hard for you. Try your best not to feel glum. :)
