Manny Ramirez was caught with a substance in his bloodstream that is on the list of unacceptable substances for baseball players. It happens to be a substance that masks steroid use. Manny blandly explains that it was all a misunderstanding. His doctor prescribed it to help fix an undisclosed medical condition- you are asking us to accept the notion that you have problems with low testosterone production, Manny?
This is just too dumb to waste time on. I am referring of course to the stupid, deceitful explanation offered by Ramirez, rather than the notion that he could be a Doper. Of course he is a doper. How dumb do you think we fans are, Manny?
Which is at the heart of the question. This death by a thousand cuts, this constant drip drip drip of new doping examples, is killing baseball. But baseball does not seem to know it. The fans carry on gamely, rationalizing that the allegations against the stars on THEIR teams are innocent, it's the stars of the other teams who are guilty.
Wake me when it's over. Unti then, you are not going to see me at a baseball game.

That doesn’t make it right, just common.
We all like to watch the home runs and the football lines stop plays.
That's one shot he's going to be feeling the sting of for a long, long time.
He may have just personally killed off the prospects of a team that might have been headed for the World Series. If I were a Dodger's fan, or one of his teammates, I don't think I'd be very forgiving when he finally does get back in the lineup.
