The President Demonstrates his support for Men and Women in Blue

Yep.  Our wonderful leader is asking Congress to cut funding for the Justice Department program that provides death, disability and education benefits to the families of slain police and public safety officers nearly in half.  It's really hard not to love a guy who cuts death benefits to the families of the men and women of law enforcement who give their lives to keep our streets safe.

I'm sure the wife and two children of Senior Corporal Norman Smith, who was gunned down in the line of duty this year in Dallas, Texas will be happy to hear about Obama's frugality.

Knowing that their President cares so much about them will not doubt ease the pain of Deputy Sheriff Chad Mechel's 7 year old daughter and 3 year old son.  He was shot and killed in the line of duty in Turner County, South Dakota in March.

• $600 million to pay for a fuel-efficient federal auto fleet
• $650 million for the Digital Converter Box Program to help the constantly delayed transition from analog television
• Up to $1 billion for “summer activities” for youths as old as 24
• $40 million for the occupational research agenda
• $2.4 billion for carbon-capture demonstrations

I guess when we consider Obama's efforts to screw over our servicemen and women, we shouldn't be surprised.
