Where I've Been....

Hey y'all,

As you might have noticed (or not!), I haven't been around much lately. But I've missed y'all. It seems silly with as much time as I think about the community here that I haven't been able to be here more. But I have some family stuff going on that on top of taking care of my small sons - who are doing great, thank God - is taking the rest of my time and energy, and what with working on my next book, I feel a bit pulled in all directions. But one thing I have learned, is that life is all about seasons. So, this, too, shall pass. And then I'll be able to be here again the way that was and be connected to you. And I look forward to that. So, please bear with me, and know that I carry y'all in my heart, and look forward to being back.

i've noticed you've been gone Delaune ! i have been absent from gather as well too. life just gets so busy ! i got swept up in work & school & other things.. but it feels good to come on here again every once in awhile when i have time ! i'm glad to hear things are well ! take care & good luck with your book ! =]

Life tends to get in the way of the fun stuff doesn't it? Especially when that includes kids. I've only got a few weeks left with my grandson until he goes back to his Daddy. He's back from Iraq and trying to get 'home' squarred away. As much fun as we have with him, a four year old can be exhausting, and he's only one kid. So I can only imagine how much work you have trying to keep up with your two small ones. I used to laugh at these mothers who lived for nap time, now I understand.

Good the hear you're still kicking and look forward to the new book.

What a beautiful name. Hang in there with your book and be ready for that feeling of accomplishment when it's finished. I'm doing my last edit on a book, and I'm determined it will be the last. As someone on gather suggested, "Kiss it goodbye and kick it out the door" or words to that effect. I hope you're writing the next best seller. Are you still traveling and having book signing tours, or just enjoying being a Mother? Can we find you back in Cajun country or in those high rise apartments in New York?
