Flower help...

I just transported some of my lillies on Saturday, now they look very droopy. My Aunt said they were in shock and I should not water them for a few days. Does anyone know if this is true?? I just want them to spring back to life, any advice?? I attached a pic.

Did you mean transplant? They need to be watered before digging up and watered after planting. Yes, they are in shock, but should bounce back if you got a good clump of roots when you dug them up. Let them set in and don't over water. They should adjust.

I transplant mine all the time. I usually just pull them up, dig a hole, stick them in it and water them. They jump right back up. I've got some I need to divide now, but I have to decide where I want to put the ones I pull up first. We're having a few rainy days here and that's a good time to divide them for some reason. I don't know why. Maybe they like rain water better than tap water. Yours will probably come right out too.
I watered before and after, I think I will hold off on the watering for a few days, I watered them last night. Maybe too much water.

Yes, just let them adjust now. They should be fine.
You do need to water them. Transplanting should usually be done ater the plant flowers, so these may not flower this year - although they coud surprise you!

You have to water a plant everyday after moving it so that the new roots can sit in.

they do look thirsty. Does the afternoon sun hit that wall? they can take the sun, but not heat generated by a sun-warmed wall.

I wish I knew because I tend to kill every plant I've ever had...and quickly! the only thing that survived more than a year was a cactus and eventually I even managed to kill that! lol

just leave them be for a while, let them dry out and then water a little lots of luck and have a happy day- dont despair they will be ok nancy n
