As I stare into your eyes
I am not blind to what I'm not seeing
I hear sights, feel them sometimes
As the changing light dances behind me
Blowing feathers across my skin
Drawing goose bumps in its turbulent wake
As a boat will draw the reeds
Upon disturbing the water
In which they rest and to which
They can only react, not fight, to survive.
Undulating energy demands attention
Through disturbance
And all of the occupants
In the affected space must absorb the dominos
If they desire to not
Be uprooted and moved elsewhere
Or even possibly die.
Bend
Or
Break

blowing feathers on my skin. love it.
Very delicate, touching and surreal, and a fitting tribute for Heidi.

Ferosh,
I've added this to "Quiet, With Respect For Sorrow" at The Surreal Circus.
It's fine. Thank you and my thoughts are with you.
Nice writing.
Wonderfully penned and poignant. I appreciated the imagery and analogy. Thank you for posting to our group.
Bend. Hugs
A chalice overflowing with hot delicacy of sentiments. So delicious and so touching.
what a great piece...the boat moving the reeds, they try to withstand, but eventually drift away from their moorings...
life pulls at us and we try to withstand...sometimes the waves are too strong and we can't---then death comes...
beautiful write
