"Jon and Kate Plus 8" divorce drama. Share your opinions.

A set of twins and sextuplets from fertility treatments helped nail them what is now one of the most popular shows on TLC, Jon and Kate Plus 8. Having one's own reality show and living in a million dollar home doesn't necessarily make life easier for them. Every time I watch the show, I always cringe. Why is Kate so bitchy to Jon? The man looks stressed out. Do you agree? However, despite the nagging from his wife, I highly disprove of Jon's recent alleged activities.

It's rumored that in February reality star Jon Gosselin was seen partying with female co-eds from Juniata College and that he told them he and his wife Kate might be getting a divorce. Later he was spotted in April by paparazzi at 2 am leaving a bar with a woman, who was behind the wheel of his vehicle.

Jon has claimed, "I went to Legends [the bar] to speak to the owner. A friend of mine wanted to check out my car, so I let her drive it to her car." But why no wedding ring? Married people, I would love to get your input: do you often hang out in bars without your wedding ring on?

I hate cheaters, and I don't want to think the worst, but the whole story seems very shady to me. And the fact that Jon and his wife Kate are making money by creating a television show with their children doesn't help my opinion of him.

My husband doesn't wear his wedding ring at all, because it doesn't fit right. He goes to the bar with coworkers sometimes and I don't worry about it. I trust him.

Honestly, I can't stand how Kate treats Jon, so I wouldn't be suprised if they end up divorced at some point. Do I think he's cheated on her...nope....

Yikes now they both can have separate reality shows.
I'm not sure whether this is the same show or not, but I was at a friend's house a few months ago, and her teenage daughter was watching a show that had a well off couple with a bunch of kids, and they were remodeling a room. Later it showed them going off on a trip in their family bus or van, and I remember all the preparation involved in getting the trip organized. She ran her family just like a business, I thought, and did a very good job. Thoughts ran through my mind such as when they would have time for each other and, if so, when they also wouldn't both be exhausted. Her husband seemed to appreciate all this woman did, though. It looked like they were a good team, though she seemed to have the edge on the management of it all.

Now that I'm looking at the picture, I think this is the same couple because I recognize the Oriental features of the guy. That's too bad because I really did think they had it together.

No one should ever cheat. Work on the marriage. My first husband cheated on me and says he has regretted it ever since. Well he should have thought of that. Marriage is when you pledge to God and the other person you will be there for each other no matter what. Sickness and health not until you get upset with them.

No, I wouldn't hang out in a bar at 2 a.m. when my spouse was out of town with a member of the opposite sex.
I can't imagine what it would be like to be on t.v. and having your life displayed to the world. I don't know if Jon actually did the dirty deed or was just out flirting with the idea. If he was cheating, he would be in a hotel room probably and not out in public. It was still a very risky thing he was doing either way.
I hope they can work it out together without public scrutiny, but being on t.v. puts them in the public eye.
Obviously, success and money comes with a price. I feel for Jon and Kate's children if kids at their schools talk about the magazine covers they see at the store or their parents have.

Raising that many young children at once seems crazy. Watching that show makes my head hurt, I can't imagine living that life. I'm sure you adapt to that and learn to love and appreciate it (at best) and at worst you have difficulties.
The whole story sounds sketchy, but it is in a tabloid, so it might not all be true. I wouldn't put it past either of them to have marriage trouble or to have cheated on each other.

I love them! I know she is talking to him like a ninth child and I dont think he would cheat.The way she talks to him is awful though. Still I think he is strong enough not to cheat! Its like looking at your sister and her husband and trying to figure out if "he's" cheating!NO NO NO Say it aint so!

I hate the fact that they have eight children. I can't believe fertility drugs are used the way they are.
If he cheated or not is irrelevant because they already appear to be miserable and divorce is an absolute.

What is wrong with people these days, all these comments about its ok for John to cheat or to divorce Kate because she is hateful or mean to him, I agree with that fact, but I do not agree with the other of just get a divorce. What happened to the vows taken before God to love honor and cherish in sickness, health, good, and bad till death do us part, people are to quick to start yelling divorce...come on it hasn't put this world in a great place. Not to mention the lives of children that it devistates growing up seperate from one parent....and there are eight of them in this situation, how dare you all to say that it is ok for him to divorce or run around on her because she does not talk to him so nicely all the time....all you see is an hour show once a week you do not know the whole story.

I have been married for thirty years. I was married at 21 years old and I have never cheated on my husband. Cheating is devasting to a marriage and once a person has been unfaithful; that will never change. It is hard on the children when parents divorce and I believe that both person should take the children into consideration before being selfish enough to cheat. When a parent cheats, they are cheating on the whole family. It is wrong to be unfaithful and there is no excuse for it.

You know it is tv. They can edit anything and make it look how they want. Maybe she really is mean, maybe the edits just make it look that way because you don't get the whole conversation. Maybe there are things going on that they don't put on camera. Unless you know them really well AND live in their house it really is unfair to judge their lives. Even if she is a horrible person...I feel he should file for divorce and then, once it is final, do as he pleases till then he is married! The same is true about him. I don't know all the details of him being out, who the woman was etc.. so I won't judge that either.

Just like Michelle M and ss said. One its hard when you have that many kids, my great-grandmother always yelled at my great-grandfather for everything til they were in their 90's. I mean she had 16 kids, wouldn't you. And another is that its TV, they have to make it interesting if they want people to watch the show. There are so much you can do on a show like that with so much kids. It might be a publicity stunt to keep ratings. You never know. I don't believe everything that magizines publish. They just go a little to far, if you ask me. Nice article.

I love this show and i am a big fan.. but a lot of the time I am besides myself and the way Kate treats Jon. You know her "HELLO!!!!" and one episode he went all out and made this awesome Asian dinner and all she could do was bitch about him being in her kitchen! She wasn't happy that he was making her dinner, or the least bit thankful, or appreciative. Everything has to be her way. It makes me sad though.. because they have kids. And I do not think cheating is ok.. but the way this wife treats her husband is just horrible! I'd give anything to have my man in my kitchen making dinner! He is so good to her. She treats him like crap.

I've never even heard of them until recently -- although I must've seen something on the news when the babies were born. But I do think exploiting your kids in a reality show is wrong, sorta like making your kids do political commercials for you

The only exposure I have to this show is The Soup, and every time they show this guy he looks so miserable that I'm not surprised to read this story.

his activities do seem suspicious but you never know. his kids will be the one to really suffer if they divorce.

I have seen the show many times. i cannot stand the way Kate treats Jon. She treats him like the house pet...stand, sit, shut up, don't breathe!! sometimes i wish he would tell her to shut the hell up and respect him. i can say she is an excellent mother and im sure she loves him very much but you would never know watching the show. i wouldnt be suprised if he is cheating. the stress of children and Kate's attitude must have him spinning. BUT i DO NOT agree with him being out at 2:00 am, especially with a younger woman!!! hes a husband and a father and has no business being out at that hour. he has a responsibility to leave NO room for scepticism. but i do think Kate needs to stop making him look ridiculous...like her saying "sshhhh" and ordering him around like one of the kids. shes taking him for granted and hes ruining his image, drinking at bars in the wee hours of the morning....i hope they can sort out their problems if any...hey maybe she's ok with his outings and he's ok with her calling the shots.

In the picture of Jon with the other woman in the car he does have his wedding ring on, maybe he is innocent- only they really know! I would have to go out drinking if I had eight kids too!!

According to http://tlc.discovery.com/tv/jon-and-kate/widget/countdown-widget.html a new season of Jon and Kate starts on May 25. Even if they get divorced, Kate will play the victim of raising the kids alone. I only watched the show because I thought most of the kids were cute, but I am sick of Kate treating Jon the way she does so I am done with watching anymore episodes! If Jon cheated on her, than good for him!! I hope he finds someone that treats him and his children better than Kate has treated them! I understand that there is a second side to every story, but we have all seen how Kate acts. She is so controlling that Jon must find it hard to get some peace and quiet with her around!

I don't go to bars, much less hang out in them. I always wear my wedding ring and never take it off. In October, my husband and I will have been married for 42 years. As for Jon and Kate, I hope they don't get a divorce or have a bad marriage. There are a lot of kids involved in whatever happens between them.

I am a born again christian female and soon to be married. I have zero tolerance for cheating but Kate Gosselin has made me cringe one too many times by the way she treats Jon. I may be wrong but I think that even if they had had only one or two children, she'd still be like this.

Last time I checked, a christian was supposed to be looking into the mirror of Gods word everyday AND making an effort to change. At least watch your own show and see the light in which you portray yourself. She's got deep issues besides the 8 kids she hides behind.
No grudge towards Jon if he decides to leave her. I would.

I think that they shouldn't make any big moves until they know the real story behind it. People just jump to conclusions. It's stupid. Maybe it's not what it looks like. But then again, if it is true, John is giving up the most precious thing in his life, which is stupid.

I don't think Jon cheated. Sounds like he is a 32-yr-old guy with a lot on his plate. I am not excusing late nights out with unID'd women or taking off the band at all...but its reported that he sort of wanders around town by himself, in the mall, etc. They were pretty open on last season's finale that they were on different pages about the show--she loves it, he does not. He just wants a normal, quiet life--a little late for that, but understandable. As for Kate, yeah, she's pretty tough (and definitely opinionated), but I've seen him put her in her place. I don't feel sorry for him. He married her and knew what he was getting into when he did. I do think they seem like a good team despite all the rumors and the "nasty" comments hurled towards each other on TV (and they're not really even that bad). I read the US Weekly article and if all that reporting is true and that's all the dirty laundry they could uncover about this couple, than its really not much. Oh, shocking, a guy doesn't want to admit to his strong-willed wife that he was fired from him job for being a dope? Uh, that is reality. And if you have 8 kids like that, life is serious and maybe not all sunshine and roses all the time. He seems like a nice guy, he just needs to grow up a little. And she needs to let up on the attitude for sure.

I don't believe he was cheating I just think that yall want all of this to happen since they are such a good couple. They are a happy family and there is nothing wrong with Kate telling Jon to do anything he is the husband and he likes to make her happy that is her personality so everyone needs to stop judging there relationship and think what is going on through the kids eyes with all of the nasty things that are being said about there happy family. I think that people have nothing better to do except judge another family that there is nothing going on except loving one another.

In a way they're both at fault, her for not being more understand of him and him for not communicating to her how he honestly felt and on top of that, releasing those inner feelings the wrong way. But after having 8 kids I probably would care less how I was talking to my husband as well.. so I don't know. Hope they can work it out for the kids.

Gotta wonder if it's a publicity thing, I honestly doubt it, why put the kids through that? So that being ruled out, you gotta wonder what Kate was up to the night in question? She had to have known he was going out and possibly where. Where were the camera crews that night? (Other than the paparazzi, who suck).
As for no ring, don't know if he always wears it, my hubby doesn't cuz he doesn't want to lose another diamond in the setting. We have a great relationship and if I do snap at him, I apologize right after and we always make time for each other, no matter how many kids are around at that moment.

I love the show and over the years I have grown fond of the couple. She might be a little bitchy but she has to deal with eight kids all day every day. He at least go to escape and go to work. I just hope that the rumors are false and even if they are not, I hope that they are able to work things out.

I don't think that he cheated on her but honestly I hope he did. She treats him so bad. You would think that having the cameras around would change the way she treated him just a little. Maybe she will wake up and open her eyes and realize that she needs to change or she will lose him.

Of course it's wrong for anyone to cheat on their wife/husband. I'm sure nobody is surprised.
I believe it's the classic, cliche situation of "my wife doesn't understand me" crap. Kate treats Jon so badly on camera. Can you imagine how badly she treats off camera.My husband hates the show because of Kate. He cringes when she rips him apart. Jon has to feel so humiliated and belittled by his wife. It's so mean. Maybe this is the wake up call they both need. If they choose to have the cameras in their life. Then they must learn to deal with the negative fall out. That brings me to another thing. When will those poor kids ever have a normal life without being in the public eye? I honestly believe Jon and Kate will regret this decision to have TLC in their lives like this. It's so unhealthy for the kids.
I hope when the 6 start kindergarten, Jon and Kate will do the right thing and drop out of the public eye. Maddy and Kara must already get their ration of crap at school. I hope they think about what this will all mean long term for all the kids. The kids never asked for this kind of life and had no choice.But those two did. TSK TSK!

jon and kate plus 8 is a great show and i pray it is not true that jon is cheating . as for the other women she needs to step out of jons life leave him alone , let him be with his wife and kids , its not as if she didnot know he was married , i for one belivie she is only after the money that he makes for doing the show ,just a gold digger

I havent ever seen the show, but I've seen them on TV. If they think their life is difficult now they should see what eivorce is going to do to it.

I think they need to stop have someone watch the kids for a month, have Kate go under the knife again... or heck have Jon go under... and they can rekindle their remonace like they did when she had her tummy tuck...

And relativy tv messes up marriages...

I think that it is awful how this couple is disrespecting their marriage vows. I think they need to get rid of the cameras and work on saving their marriage.

Divorce or not, that really isn't anyone's business.  What sickens me is when both parents continue to say that the seperation will bring "peace to everyone in the family" and that "all we do is for the children". Do they not realize that the children will never have a normal life, and must give the public preception of being perfect.  In 20 years they will be on the "where are they now" episodes. The damage has been done, even turning off the cameras now won't solve it. So very sad for the children.  Selfish, Selfish adults.

I feel so sad for everyone involved. Jon and Kate made me cry last night .
