Cooking Classes

I've always loved the idea of hosting stylish parties at my home with delicious foods and lots of people. Unfortunately, I've never really been programmed for the type of planning and cooking that is needed to prepare for this type of social event. I can barely get my act together enough to make dinner for my family on a daily basis.

But I do believe that it wouldn't take much to learn these skills, and the Distinctive Kitchens Culinary Arts Center in Orange Beach is offering a couple classes that may be helpful to anyone in the same situation as myself. One is the "Girls Night Out - Summer Entertaining" class, where the chef prepares yummy foods and gives tips on how to throw a cocktail party. The other is called "Date Night - Under the Influence - Cooking With Alcohol," and teaches you how to cook with various types of alcohol. Both sound like fun learning opportunities-I bet I could even convince my husband to come out with me for the "Date Night" class (although he might be hesitant if he knows my ultimate party goal).
