i'm sorry.. how do banks get away with crap like that!

We had problems with USAA too, I wasn't getting my insurance bills. At the time I was the type of person who paid when i got the bill, didn't get a bill didn't pay you know?! Thanks to them I now do web bill pay but I still ended up switching companies after everything.

Oh and Bank of America is evil. I have a whole story there too, my guess is they will still charge you the over draft fees even when the money is returned.

So sorry for all your troubles. Banks can really make you nuts. God help you if you are late with a payment but they can take as much time as they want.

That is AWFUL, what a mess!

I have definitely had that happen before, and there was one time I told Missy she could use my card for her registration, she filled out the forms and sent them off but the charge didn't go through for two months and I forgot about it. I usually keep a running balance in my head and paid for car repairs at the same time. Sucks.

ugh, I am so sorry, that really sucks. We had something like that happen to us once too. It was aweful.

Uggh, I am always afraid of automatic payments getting messed up.

You just reminded me that I need to pay for the gas, house and car. We are always broke! At least BOA says they will refund you (even if it isn't til next week). Gosh, what would happen if you had to eat and didn't have any food? Or if you were about to lose gas or electric because you didn't have the money in there. That is such a scary thought.

Interest rates are sky rocketing to 30% and more on credit cards. For a better way google my name.

That happened to me too with some idiot, and bank of America. They were very good about giving me my money back once they saw the money returned from whereever it went, but I was in the same position as you were till then, and got about $150 in overdrafts. $35 a pop, give me a freaking break!!!!

Gosh what crap. I tell you, the banks are only in it to make money. this wasn't even your fault and they won't take care of it until later. What a mess. So sorry this happened. That is one thing I like about my credit union. Although we do not have an ATM card *sigh*, and have to travel about 30 minutes to get to the bank, if there are charges in error, they will credit it back to me that day while they investigate. That is one plus with them.

Banking has become a racket, no question about it.

UGH sorry this happened to you - hope they get it straightened out soon for you. This is exactly why I won't do automatic payments!

I have USAA, too, and this has never happened. I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't, because I screw up my account enough on my own! Although I've had pretty good experiences with Bank of America. If you get the right person, they may refund the overdraft charges if you explain what happened. Good luck!

Wow...that's awful. I really hate it when things like that happen in my account. It is hard enough to keep things straight without other people messing up my account. I hope it all gets resolved soon.

Oh no.....that's just horrible. Those darn overdraft charges are just outrageous, too, aren't they? Sure hope you get things straightened out soon.........that's so frustrating, I know.

I had that happen recently and the place that took the fee has yet to refund it. This reminds me its time to call again.

That is one reason that I am always leery to have things deducted automatically. It always seems to backfire on me.

I had a similar problem that happened to me once. The place took out two payments and not one. So I called the bank and told them I ok'd the first one not the second. They sent me over to fraud department and said that they are going to put my funds back in and going to tell the place to pay them back not me. They got into trouble over this and this isnt an isolated case. They have done this before. I know about being broke. I'm broke now til I recieve another paycheck. And thats another week away. Have to pay for a cell phone that my daughter decided to get on the internet on her phone and download free ring tones that AT&T sent in a text message. I told them by you sending a text message to a teenager for free ringtones is like free candy. So, they are going to fix it so that this doesn't happen again. OH, my bill was 384.00, I was picking up my jaw when I saw that bill.

How annoying!!!! I'm so frustrated with BOA! I really wish I could get my Huntington bank account back (long long story). They were awesome!
