Senior discount at restaurants

Last Fri. I went to the Golden Corral with two of my daughters.  We have gone several times before, almost every week.  Now, I know I have been sick but I didn't think I looked that bad.  The girl never asked me, she just applied the senior discount.  I didn't even realize it till we got to our table and my daughters noted that I paid less then they did.

I'm only 52!!!!!!! I feel so old.  Oh well, I saved .64 off my meal, whoopee!

I was with two daughters and their children, guess she assumed that grandmas are all over 60, lol.

I think that was kind of bold of them to assume that you were a senior. What was the cashier like 16 or something? I know that my daughter thinks I am ancient being 40, lol!

I wouldn't feel too bad. I did some checking and many restaurants have discounts for persons over 50, since that's when you can join AARP. I never thought about requesting senior discounts. Now that I know I might be eligible, I will be.

They have asked me if I am a Senior and i just turned 50. If they want to give me a discount I will take it.

OH i wasn't complaining, much, lol. I took it, but it's just funny after eating there so much to have them suddenly do it. My husband is 62 and they never ask him if he is a senior, I hate that, lol.

My neighbor, who is prematurely gray but only 42, went into a bakery and thought the young clerk was flirting with him. Imagine the blow to his ego when she gave him the senior discount.
