I believe I am switching board postions

I was so worried that I would fail at fund raising for my sons preschool, that I just found out tonight that I might be moving over to Asst. treasurer. The lady who was the co fundraiser before me, got me so worried because she said it is a lot of sales. I am not a sales person. I am a nice person but not sales. I could not even sell an igloo to an eskimo, that is how bad I am. I so hoping this goes through. Yes I will have to hound people for thier money, but at least I can be nice about it. If it does not go through oh well i will just have to learn to be a sale person, or I can just pull him out and move him over to the public schools like my daughter goes to right??? Have you ever had a lot of people rely on you and you totally thought you would fail them???

I understand that feeling. I'm afraid I will mess up something because I don't know as much as the long term people. Usually I find out that they don't know anything either. :-)

I learned years ago that the most successful people learn how to delegate responsibility and to not be afraid to ask questions. Recruit help if you need it and ask others who have been in the position for their advice. Everything in life is a learning process.

Every day since I became a parent! But you know what? I've learned to just take one day at a time and do the best I can and the rest will take care of itself!
