1.5 lb ground beef
1 pack Bacon
3 cups frozen mixed veggies
2 tbsp salt
1 tbsp pepper
2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp red pepper
2 rolls (12 each) refridgerated biscuits
1 8oz bag shredded cheddar
1 box instant mashed potatoes
Take bacon and slice into dices, put bacon and ground beef in skillet and brown. Add salt, pepper, garlic and red pepper to beef and mix well. Dump beef and bacon into 13x 9 baking pan and add the 3 cups of frozen veggies and mix. make the 6 serving portion of mashed potatoes but replace the butter in the potato recipe with the grease from the beef/ bacon browning. Spread potatoes on top of meat and veggie mix and top with all 24 biscuits in a single layer. Press down biscuits flat and top with all 8 oz of shredded cheddar. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes....serve hot

Mince (ground beef), onions, garlic, seasonings, mix and lay on the bottom of a casserole dish cover with mashed potatoes and bake till the meat juices bubble up the sides.---Cottage Pie is with lamb instead of beef and has a pastry crust on top of the mash.
