John watched two leaders preaching to the clamoring crowds below till they died in the dust.
"They've lost," cried John.
"They've won," the angel replied.
Then the lawgiver Moses turned rivers of water to blood. The prophet Elijah prayed and stopped the rain. Eden's twin trees of knowledge and life were watered by God's love. And Zechariah's olive boughs stood on guard in the temple.
After another half of time, in earthquake, fear and fire, the leaders rose and ascended the steps to heaven.
"Who are these two?" John asked, surprised.
"They're priests and kings. And olive trees. And you."
