I have a large group of friends. They are great to hang out with. If you have read my camping essays and looked through the photos you will have seen a lot of them. The following essay has some of them in it (YIKES without their permission I might add- sorry guys too funny to pass up on).
In going back through my photos I found a folder of pics of random shots taken in 2008. Some of them have really made me laugh. In this series of photos none of us were truly drunk (as we had the kids with us we were being responsible) but from the photos is looks like we were! LMBO! They are probably going to KILL ME for posting them.... if I go missing unexplained here is the photo evidence as to who is responsible! LOL
The evening began with everyone showing up at our house. Lily adores Jay so she just had to show him her new Spiderman toy.
Here is Jay immediately after the attack - sorry it is so blurry can't help it I was laughing...
Here he lets her know he was not mad at her for the silly toy thing and was just messing with her...

I love how good my friends are with my kids...

I love the restaurant we chose - La Rosa's - but not necessarily because of the food, it is the place where Matt proposed to me in front of an even larger group of friends after an all day canoeing trip!
We all laughed about this sign..... joking that it must be easier for Luigi to have people join him in the closet then to come out... and them promptly explained to the kids that it would "be funny in the 8th grade"

The kids like the restaurant and the friends too..

The kids used to always get Jay and Terry mixed up but I have no idea why, obviously they look NOTHING alike!! Sheesh!.... what do you think?

Terry reverts to his true nature.... (KIDDING)

True love is abound .... Terry and Leslie are getting married this September... I am a bridesmaid...
Next we leave the restaurant and head to the bowling alley...

This sign showed us we were in the right place at the wrong time LOL... we wondered should we attempt to come back later?? LOL

She nearly killed him when he said the ever so popular "why you're down there" we explained to the kids that this to would be "funny in the 8th grade".

Terry and Trish? The world has gone crazy!!.....

...and even crazier HEY THAT'S MY HUSBAND!! ...

Oh yeah ... well two can play that game buddy....

And then all is right in the world again ... back to normal...

(Actually we were all just sharing the same drink as it was huge and we were too lazy to walk over and buy another one! LMBO)
Then my hubby gives me "the look" :)

and we finally get to the bowling part of things...

... which led to jokes about rainbow balls - we of course immediately explained to the kids that they would find that to be "funny in the 8th grade" as well.
What did we bring away from this experience....
.... well now both kids say "EVERYTHING is funny in the 8th grade. LOL They also took away from it that you can go out with friends and have a great time just being silly without needing drugs or alcohol! :)
Hope you enjoyed our adventure.

That is so true!
..
U wishing you laughter
TY for sharing it with us.
I wonder if living in the city makes it harder to make and keep friends - there's so much to do that there seems to be less need to cultivate close friends.
Thanks for your wishes.
I enjoyed the adventure. Thanks for taking me along. :-)
LOL! Looks like a fun group to hang out with!
Looks like you have a great group of fun friends to hang out with, Kimber, and I think the two do sort of look alike.
what fun pix! i luv "The Attack"! ;)
Great post Kimber. The pictures really cannot express how much fun we had that night. P.S. Terry's true nature resembles that of a monkey...
You are very lucky to have such a wonderful group of friends. And the fact that they like and appreciate your kids makes it that much better.
LOL
This looks like one of our Old Fart outings. Back when bulletin Boards were just starting out, there was one here in Indianapolis. It was called The Red Desk. In order to keep the kids out of our adult (not x rated adult) chatrooms he titled them the Old Fart rooms. You are an Old Fart if you are 21 and use a computer.
There are places we can go back to. Maybe by now we could. All fun no alcohol required.
Thanks for your comment on my survey post.
Ah, good fun and good friends! That's what it's all about.
