Well, tonight was not really an e-mealz menu, but it was inspired by the menu plan!
Total cost of this meal was approximately $5 and fed my family of 4.
Stouffer's Chicken Lasagne, family sized, was on sale for $3.99, regularly $6.99. Bummer that I didn't have coupons! And, a canteloupe that was on sale for $2 but we only ate about 1/2 of it.
The lasagne was just the right size for us - no leftovers, which isn't uncommon with MY husband around! LOL One of my kids wouldn't eat it though. She's funny about any kind of white sauces like this - alfredo, etc. ??? Weird taste buds I guess! ha! So, she had leftover pork tenderloin for dinner. My other child said it was just OK but didn't really want me to buy it again. So... guess I won't be doing this particular meal again!
Again, having the plan in place was just wonderful. Weather I stick with E-mealz or not, I NEED to stick to a meal plan of some sort. It has just made life so much easier!
So, on a 10-point scale
Menu - 4
meal plan - 10
Price - 8
So, 22 out of 30 for today!

I rarely allow my kids to choose dinner. But she did give it several bites before saying she just didn't like it and we've known forever that she really does NOT like any type of white sauces, so in that case, I'll let her have something else. Sometimes it's a matter of choosing your battles and since we've been down this road with this type of food, it wasn't one I felt was necessary to pick...
