What's Twitter

I hear everyday about Twitter, but I don't know what it is.  Would someone tell me?  Is it only to use on a cell phone?  I don't have texting on my cell phone because my daughter ran it up.  So?  What's the deal?t

no you can use the computer there too
twitter is a social networking site, similar to facebook, myspace and Gather. Only it's more of a celebrity thing where they update their "status". It is very similar to the status on here. People "follow you" which means become your friend and then read your messages. I personally am not a fan.

It's another social networking site. I haven't gone, cause frankly, I don't need another one. ;)

My sister invited me to join it, but I haven't yet. Gather takes a lot of my time. I thought Twitter was just for phones, too, and I don't have texting either.

Twitter is basically someplace you update or online to let people know what you're up to. It's not really social networking. It's just status updates.

You can also use it to post links to things you want to share, such as Gather articles, interesting news stories, or your favorite websites.

Its another site to put yourself on, so i'll just stick with myspace and gather. Mainly gather.

I use it, mainly to promote my crochet shops. You post small "tweets" of 140 charters or less. Just small clips to let people know what you're up to at that particular moment.

I'm on it you can post pictures and just allows you to connect to more people with out the drama of a troll, or people complaining you only want points
