So, tonight was my 3rd night of using the E-mealz plan. If you want more info on that, please pm me and I'll be happy to tell you more. Tonight's meal cost about $8.50 for 4 people and we had leftovers. And, again, this was the low-fat "points" version for weight Watchers
The menu was pork tenderloin, biscuits & veggies. I put a little olive oil, worcestershire and garlic powder and mixed it up and rubbed it onto the pork. then I baked it in the NuWave oven for about 30-35 minutes. Regular oven suggest 40 min. The pork turned out really tender but didn't have much flavor. I should have put the rub/marinade on early and actually let it marinate but I forgot! But at least it was almost "fall-apart" tender!
Instead of paying more for Pillsbury Grand's biscuits, I purchased the Publix Store brand. They were excellent. I might have gotten the Pillsbury cheaper if I'd had coupons, but I didn't and it wouldn't have been much cheaper. Probably more likely to be the same price.
Veggies - well, I was going out tonight for ladies night so I only got a taste of this dinner so the kids wanted green beans.
Again, having the meal plan was so nice. I really like that and it may be worth it just for that!
on a 10 point scale
Menu - 9
meal plan - 10
Price - 8
so, 27 out of 30 for this one! So far so good!
