'Tis the Season for More Iris

I made it outside with my camera again after work today. The iris are just splendid and are such willing photo subjects. Today's rain added an extra dimension to the shots. I hope you all will forgive me for an abundance of photos of them here but I just can't help myself as iris season is so short.

These are some pretty iris, and your photos are great, as always. My only complaint is - I want to know the names of the cultivars?

I'll have water iris soon - will try to take some pics of them & the water lilies. Need the practice!

Lovely. If a person has to have an addiction, photographing iris blooms and sharing them with others is the way to go.

Very nice photos. I especially liked the ones with the water drops and those that showed the fuzzy insides (pistols? stamins?) I've always thought of Irises as the poor man's orchid. Beautiful.

They are ALL beautiful, but my favorite one is the 6th one down.............This is such a great time of the year on the mainland.... I have loads of flower and trees photos taken in the Spring last year when I was in NC that I still haven't done anything with.....!
