I live in a development called Quail Hollow; in fact I live in the hollow of Quail Hollow. There is a curve at the bottom of the road and it has been sorely in need of repairs. Now this isn't as much as important for me and my car, but for the children in the neighborhood with their bikes. Here is a cell phone photo I took a few weeks ago that I posted on Twit Pic.

Today I am singing at a Confirmation Mass, so I worked from home the start of the day. So what to my wondering eyes did appear? No, not a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer, but the town highway department with trucks and men and they began to work. Soon they put down a couple of patches.

I'll let the experts argue over this one, but this is the same type of patch they threw on early this year when the snow ploughs tore into the road in the first place, the ones that degraded into the photo seen above.
The Supervisor of Highways is up for reelection this year. We have the perfect candidate to replace him. One who can get his men to do the right job that lasts and not the wrong job that needs to be redone again and again!
